Home dinner

Dinner with family is under appreciated in the west but commonplace in the east. It is traditionally a time for families to gather after a long and hard working day and enjoy each others company.

In the traditional setting, it would be treated as not just a dining ritual but also a social gathering as food would be consumed very sparingly from a wide variety of dishes and the goal is to chatter as you eat.

Many families continue to put this tradition into practice and thus it forms the basis cohesion within the family.
