Thierry Henry New Coach Of AC Monaco
Thierry Henry finally decided to start his solo career on the benches. The French coach, 41, will replace Leonardo Jardim at Monaco, the club where he started as a footballer and where he has now signed a contract until 2021.
"I am very happy to return and absolutely convinced to face the challenges that lie ahead," said the world champion with France in 1998. "I do not see the time to meet the players and start working with them," added the successor of Jardim, sacked by Monaco last Thursday.
The current situation of Monaco seems very difficult for Henry at first, given that in 9 rounds of Ligue 1 they've just bagged 6 points, while their situation in Champions League is pretty bad as well with 2 losses in a row. Those happenings drove the the team to terminate their relations with Jardim, the man that guided Monaco to obtained the league tittle in 2017.
Jardim, who also reached the semi-finals of the Champions in 2017, was the discoverer of some of the best talents in European football today, such as Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Thomas Lemar (Atlético), Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy (Manchester City).
