Divine Remembrance
Can God forget any of us? The answer is NO. Prophet Isaiah confirms that God cannot forget us even through the mother of of a suckling baby forgets her child.
Isaiah 49:15
Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
The following verse says that God has engraved us in the palms of His hands. God says that our walls are continually before him. No part of our life is hidden unto God and that is good for us in that He take care of us even when the enemy is planing anything against us in secret.
Why then do scriptures speak of God remembering people such as Noah (Genesis 8:1); Rachel (Genesis 30:22) and Hannah (1 Samuel 1: 19)?
I perceive that divine remembrance, as we may call it, is not about God forgetting us rather it refers to the timing of God's intervention in the circumstances of our lives. He was the one who sent Noah on an errand to build the ark and to save some people and some species of animals for posterity. How could God possibly forget Noah and his company? We can safely infer that the time when God remembers a man, in another way, is the person's due season. It has been said that in your due season you shall not be denied.
God remembered Rachel and in that season she conceived and bore Joseph. It was in the due season of Hannah when God remembered her and she conceived and bore Samuel. After 430 years of slavery, God remembered his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and set the Hebrews free from Egypt. Their deliverance was in fulfillment of the prophecy which the Lord spoke to Abraham.
Divine remembrance also looks like a harvest season for a person who has consistently sown his seed over a season or for some time. Every sower of the seed is entitled to a harvest.
I pray that the lord remember you in this season. May you begin to experience the hand of God in all your doings and that your entitlement to a bountiful harvest shall not elude you this season in Jesus name (AMEN!)
