#Lightpainting DIY + Mini contest to win 5 SBD ;-)
I received so much wonderful feedbacks after my light painting post and as @zuckezombie asked me how to do by sharing a lovely message, I can not resist, in order to perfect this inspiring art let's share the method! =) So we hopefully will enjoy more and more creative light painting on our feeds to make us smile and dream =)
To make light painting or light grffiti, you'll need :
- a freezbie with led light (or just a led light)
- a tripod
- a camera
- some patience & creativity
The light
We took the thing which was available with a light, fortunatelly on the moving freezbie we could see appear the light through the red part of it which created a nice effect of multiple streams of lights
The tripod
The tripod is mostly for stability becaus eif you are trembelling like me it will result as blured considering the long exposition it requires a very stable camera.
It took a little time to figure out how to setup the camera to not make it move too much, that was the most complicated for me as I didn't took a tripod. ;-)
The camera setting
Otherwise it is pretty simple, you need a long exposition time,
I selected ISO 200 as it was still very bright with the light of the park.
Ok then how to do?
I highly suggest to do such activity with friends, so one can press the camera button, place correctly the one in front of the camera ang guide the displacement to keep the drawing centered or within the frame for the 30 sec performance.
The person who will perform the writing or drawing moving fast will not appear on the picture. You'll have the time to re-trace each line of each letter or drawing several time it will give a stylish look.
Do not forget all drawing is reversed when you are facing the camera.
Hope these advices will help you to make amazing creations!
Contest
The contest is not really make to share a big giveway for this first light painting contest which is targeting not photo professionals, but anyone who want to give a first try! However , if you like the idea, with the @globalschool, I'll organize from September a weekly light painting challenge open to everyone, professionals and newbies!
