How do children experience the death of a pet.

The loss of a pet in a particularly ugly way affects children, but the most likely reason for this is that the children in their fur animals see my best friend.

Research conducted at the University of New York have shown that children, in most cases, very difficult to cope with the death of pets and how many of them thinks that their life is over.

Results of the study conducted by Joshua Russell, an assistant professor at Canisius University, shows that children are considered to have exactly the center of attention of the world and their pets.

"They lovers describe as their brothers or sisters or best friends with whom they have a strong relationship," says Russell.

The study included children aged between six and 12 years, and when asked about how they feel in connection with the death of the animal, including the death of their pets.

Some children have said that they were so struck by the death of a pet that long could not recover, while other children responded as quickly reconciled with that.

One 11-year-old girl shared a story about the death of a guinea pig. She said that she was very sad, but she realized that her pet spent quality life and how easy it was time to die.

The conclusions are that children generally have a good awareness of the normal life of the individual species. They were quite convinced that they have a shorter life span fish and hamsters, while for cats, rabbits and dogs are expected to live longer.

The study revealed that many families organized ceremonial burials and vigils dead animals, according to the Huffington Post.

Parents are encouraged to, in case the beloved pet of their child dies, the child given time and space to reconcile with the loss. Children should be provided and to talk about the loss, if that's what you want.
