Quarantine... Electrical Service Failures... Restrictions on shopping for food... Public transport failures and fuel shortages for private vehicles... Lack of potable water through pipes... Lack of domestic gas service that requires cooking with firewood or charcoal in the capital of an oil republic in the 21st century... Galloping personal insecurity, which reaches the point where both the police and the common criminals put up alcabalas to collect tolls and rob... Systematic destruction of educational facilities, with the support of political factions that are currently the government... Emergency approval of the Russian vaccine, without finishing the studies that make it possible to adapt it to the Venezuelan population, meaning an unknown risk to health or even life ... The threat of a new monetary re-conversion that simply means removing zeros from the currency and is an open declaration of the failure of the economic model and its policies, but that they will still maintain them because destroying the national economy was always the true objective... It threatens health workers so that they do not resign or leave their jobs, despite the fact that the monthly salary is not enough to cover the cost of the ticket for their daily transfer to the hospitals where they work without sufficient supplies, without good security measures and with the contempt of the military officials stationed there to control and humiliate them while the superiors shamelessly steal resources, leaving people to die as if it amused them... Teacher's Day is approaching in the calendar of national events, today teachers are among the most mistreated and humiliated sectors, with violations of their labor rights, with salaries of absolute misery, with constant threats and with the siege of the groups paramilitaries called Collectives if they dare to protest because they can't take it anymore... Seriously, it amazes me how I can maintain my sanity and mood enough not to jump off the fifth floor roof... But, anyway, I'm stubborn and I don't want to give up. I heard from a friend once that living in Venezuela is tiring, but I don't want to get tired, I want to see if I can survive to see her final. I want to keep in my mind the hope that these follies have to come to an end. |
Cuarentena... Fallas en el servicio eléctrico... Restricciones para salir a comprar comida... Fallas de transporte público y escasez de combustible para vehículos particulares... Carencia de aguan potable por tubería... Ausencia de servicio de gas doméstico que obliga a cocinar con leña o carbón en plena capital de una República petrolera en el Siglo XXI... Inseguridad personal galopante, que llega al extremo de que tanto los policías como los delincuentes comunes ponen alcabalas para cobrar peaje y atracar... Destrucción sistemática de las instalaciones educativas, con apoyo de facciones políticas que son actualmente gobierno... Aprobación por vía de emergencia de la vacuna rusa, sin terminar de hacer los estudios que posibiliten su adecuación a la población venezolana, significando un riesgo desconocido para la salud o incluso la vida... Amenaza de una nueva re-conversión monetaria que simplemente significa quitarle ceros a la moneda y es una declaración abierta del fracaso del modelo económico y sus políticas, pero que igual van a mantenerlas porque destruir la economía nacional siempre fue el objetivo verdadero... Amenaza a trabajadores de la salud para que no renuncien o no abandonen sus puestos de trabajo, a pesar de que el salario mensual no les alcanza ni para cubrir el costo del pasaje para su traslado diario a los hospitales donde trabajan sin suficientes suministros, sin buenas medidas de seguridad y con el desprecio de los funcionarios militares destacados allí para controlarlos y humillarlos mientras los superiores roban descaradamente los recursos, dejando morir gente como si eso les divirtiera... Se acerca el Día del maestro en el calendario de efemérides nacionales, estando hoy en día los maestros entre los sectores mas maltratados y humillados, con violaciones a sus derechos laborales, con sueldos de miseria absoluta, con amenazas constantes y con el asedio de los grupos paramilitares llamados Colectivos si se atreven a protestar porque ya no aguantan mas... En serio, me sorprende como puedo mantener la cordura y el estado de ánimo suficiente como para no saltar de la azotea del quinto piso... Pero, en fin, soy terco y no me quiero rendir. Escuché de una amiga una vez que vivir en Venezuela cansa, pero yo no me quiero cansar, quiero ver si puedo sobrevivir a estoy ver su final. Quiero mantener en mi mente la esperanza de que estas locuras tienen que tener un final. |
