Crazy Life Hacks Which Actually Work
I'm sure everyone has heard of life hacks, they are ingenious little tips, designed to save us money and make our lives easier.
Although I don't know who first thought of these ideas, here's a list of a few hacks that have become favourites of mine over the last few years:
No Speaker?.
No problem. Cut a slit into an empty toilet roll, insert the bottom of your phone and voila! Instant speaker. If you want to be really clever, simply add a plastic cup at each end for added effect! You can even decorate it with your own unique design.

Don't Know Which Key is Which?
Easy. Simply paint the top of each key with brightly coloured nail polish. Hard-wearing, unique and easy to remember. You'll never fumble with your keys at the door again.

Lost Contact Lens or Earring Back?
Let's face it, who hasn't dropped something tiny on the floor and then spent ages on their hands and knees, desperately searching? Well fret no more. Simply place a nylon stocking over the nozzle of your vacuum cleaner, hold in place with an elastic band, and get hoovering. Whilst the vacuum is still switched on, check the hose, your elusive item should be caught on the stocking for easy removal.

Desk Cluttered With Cables?
One of the banes of every office desk is the overabundance of pesky power cables. Easily organise your rats nest by attaching a bread clip to each cable. Clearly label each one to identify which piece of equipment the wire belongs to and you can save yourself hours of frustration and routing around under your desk.

Drawer Full of Tangled Cables?
Staying with the subject of cables, we've all got that one drawer, that's full of cables whose use has been long forgotten, that are all tangled together and we hang onto out of the fear that we'll discover what it's for, the moment we throw it away.
Well worry no more. Once again, grab your empty toilet rolls and get organising. Wind each cable into a tidy bundle, insert into an empty roll and then label the cardboard tube with the name of the device it belongs to. Don't forget to decorate with your unique designs. Then place into the drawer (on it's end) and you'll never lose that important cable again.

Interesting posting. My New Year resolution is to get the cables under control with toilet rolls. I can just imagine the expression on my son's face when I ask him to keep the toilet rolls for me.
Lol. There's some amazing things you can do with them. The speaker is surprisingly effective too. There's some great YouTube videos on life hacks as well. Thank you for reading, and I'm sure your son will understand when he sees what you're doing. 😂😉
I look forward to his confusion. Think of all the years I used to collect the toilet rolls for him and his school crafts. You would be amazed at the number of toilet roll pen pots I have accumulated over the years.
Hahahaha. Yep I can definitely relate to that.
