The history of the MAN CAVE
Women...they've got ladies nights, play dates, coffee mornings, yoga, cheese & wine tastings, book clubs, etc. Us men, have work, a garage (if you're lucky) and we have no say in the arrangements of our own homes, but all a man needs is a MAN CAVE!
It started way back when, in 1481, when the original man cave was a called a "beesty" - where bees were kept.
By 1850, it was a smoking room where men could dress up and enjoy their tobacco and cigars and women were forbidden. It was only by 2008 when the man cave (as we know it), was fully set-up for the modern man. A place where a man can go to find peace, forget about his problem for the time being, relax and just do whatever he likes.
It has progressed afterwards to a point where every other man has one. There are now even furniture and DIY ideas, especially just for this purpose.
Whether it's a spare bedroom, office, garage or basement, it's a place where a man gets to create his own theme, decor and express himself in his own way and where no woman has any say.
