5 Signs You Are Poor!
We all want better things in life. Nice cars, a nice house, and to basically be able to live freely and do what we want in life. But not everyone was born into wealth and financial freedom. Most people aren't born into the easy difficulty level life, most people enter life in medium to hard difficulty. Here are 5 signs you are poor.
Number 1: If you lose your job you can't survive more than 3 months
I know this one is a bit cliché. But it is a great guideline in creating a margin of safety for yourself in the future. If you live from paycheck to paycheck and have nothing set aside to keep you afloat while looking for a new job if you lose the old one then you are poor. Set aside some money and have some funds to buy essentials until you get a new job.
Number 2: Your diet consists of fast food or unhealthy food.
Ever heard of the saying "Health is Wealth"? This is also entirely true. Think about this for a second; If you can't work comfortably because you feel fatigued all the time because of your diet, not only will you be in danger of getting sick, but you are missing out on bigger opportunities and promotions! Cut down on the unhealthy food and allocate money for fresh food. Your body and mind are your two biggest investments!
Number 3: You have an Addiction.
Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco
This correlates heavily with the 2nd sign. If you rely on vices to keep your mind functioning then you are destructive yourself. Not only will you burn a hole through your health, but you'll also burn a hole through your wallet. The expenses of your addiction don't stop with buying a pack of cigarettes, it continues to your healthcare expenses and your insurance going through the roof!
Number 4: Paying Minimum on Credit Card Debt.
This absolutely critical to understand. If you have $1000 in credit card debt and you pay $100, considering you are in the average interest rate of credit cards at 16%. Your balance the next month comes out to $1,044! But didn't we just pay $100!? Paying minimum is a death trap and he who does not understand compound interest will pay it! Understand compound interest, take the time to know how it works and a sword that can hurt you could possibly be something that you yourself can wield to victory.
Number 5: You Don't Think Like a Winner.
Self-confidence, positivity, and believing in yourself are all pieces of the law of attraction. Do you think Bill Gates sat in his mother's basement and sulked like loser? Do you think Muhammad Ali entered a boxing match fearing his opponent and doubting himself? Do you think the people who made a mark in the world thought themselves losers? I'm not saying you have to be someone like Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs, or Warren Buffet. All I'm saying is that you may be born poor or rich, but if you don't have the right mentality and mindset you will not find true success. This one requires nothing but your time to assess yourself and find it within you to improve your life.
