Many of us do take a bath at least twice a day. Taking a shower becomes a necessity in our everyday living. It is a regular habit and we do it for several reasons. However, one thing very sure, we take a bath simply because we want to look good and feel fresh and excellent. 


Most individuals follow the phenomenon of switching between cold and hot showers according to the weather or how they feel at that particular time believed that taking hot showers is best for them irrespective of the weather, while others would rather take a cold shower in the same condition. 


In order to know the best option between cold and hot shower, one need to properly analyze the different properties of both of them, by knowing the pros and cons of each of the showers. This article will help you decide, by providing you details on cold and hot shower and the benefits each of them offers. 

 


Advantages Of Hot Shower


There are many benefits of taking a hot shower and here are some of them:

While there are benefits that can be derived from taking a hot shower, there are also some disadvantages, and here are some of them:


Effects On Hair: Hot showers can make the hair very brittle and weak, this may cause the hair to can break very easily.

 

Affects Cardiovascular System: Hot shower is said to have negative effects on patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases. It is believed that taking a hot shower can lead to health problems such as arrhythmia and hypertension

Taking cold showers instead of hot showers provides surprising health benefits — from burning fat to depression relief — for our skin and body (Medical Daily). These are some of the advantages of taking a cold shower: 


Improves Circulation: Cold shower can improve the blood circulation in the body by enhancing the flow of blood to the organs. A good circulation is essential in combating several problems of the heart and skin and also for the improvement of the overall health. 

 

Skin And Hair: Cold shower lead to healthy hair by making the hair cleaner, shinier and stronger.  A cold shower can enhance the ability of the hair follicles to grip the scalp and can also help in soothing inflamed and sunburned skin.


Improves Heart Health:  Improved circulation clears blocked arteries, lowers the blood pressure, and helps to stabilize the circulatory system thereby keeping the heart in great condition. 


Improves Lungs function: Cold water shower is known to have a significant improvement in lungs function. Individuals are known to breathe slowly when taking a cold shower, thus improving their lung function.

The only known instance when cold showers should be avoided is during menstruation. This is because the system of a women menstruating is weak and under duress. In this condition, the muscles and organs need to be relaxed.

It's a known fact that COLD SHOWERS are very good and extremely the best for you. When was the last time you were under cold water? Perhaps it was when it started to rain, or your hot water was turned off, and you had no other choice. 


Civilization has given us comfort, and with it, the several diseases that are totally caused by poor lifestyle choices. Particularly, our body is intolerant to coldness, and we continually strive to get warm in any way possible. But this is all in vain, because cold water is the key to health and vitality!

I suffered from "weakness" don't know how to explain it but just weak and unhealthy, I took cold showers every day for 2 months and it was the healthiest i've EVER felt.

Lest we forget another negative cold showers give....tiny balls!
Other than that missing nugget of information that you left out....great article.
I did 5 years of cold showers as I was a uni student in Malaysia and a lot of places for rent only come with cold water as the weather is quite tropical.
Would love to get back into the habit but living in the uk makes that a horrible thought :)
