15 life Lessons that I have learned in my life so far

In this post, I will share with you some of the life lessons that I have learned. Although these life lessons may not apply to your situation, you can reflect on your own life after reading the following. Hope my experience can help you !

--

1... Sometimes you have to go backward in order to move forward

From our perspective, we have to put forward more effort in order to gain more result. In the vast majority of situations in our life, this is 100% true and I am NOT saying that there is success without sweats.

But the life lessons that I have learned is that, in some special case, how hard we work is irrelevant toward how much we gain, or, even worse, the more effort we put in, the less we get

For example, when you are trying too hard to sell your products to your customers, like calling them frequently, your customers may actually feel annoyed and it makes your product feel “cheap”. Your increased sales pitch when backfiring

Another vivid example is in sports. When you train too much, you are just overtraining yourself, which will lead to injury that prevents consistent training required for long-term progress..I

These examples demonstrated that effort does not nessarily move you forward

Sometimes we just need to find the sweet spot between effort and result in which the level of effort does not reduce what we get.

To find and adjust yourself to that sweet spot, we have to go backward first —— lower our level of effort. In the beginning, you may feel you are missing out on good opportunities and potential reward, but this will benefit us in the long-term

2 ... Action is key

Action is what brings the results that we want. If you don’t take action, how much you know or how brilliant your ideas do no matter. They are of little use if you do not use action to translate them into useful tools or assistance in your journey to success

--

3... Practice is more important than learning new things

Another life lessons is that when we are trying to master a skill, We learn the most by practise. Since, through practice, we can examine whether we fully understand it, consolidate our memory and gain a deeper understanding into the skill thanks to trial and error. Besides, practices also give us the ability to apply our knowledge in real life, which is the most crucial thing afterall. Our knowledge is useful if it cannot be applied in real life to help us achieve our goals

--

4....Never multitask

This life lessons is especially important to me.

Our time and energy is limited, so we never have enough of them to focus on many things. If we try to multiple-task, our productivity will be reduced significantly. Another thing we should not forget is that our effort put in each task is not enough for us to succeed if we multiple-task. Concentrate your effort !

--

5....Sacrifice now and gain benefits in the long run

Think long-term. Liittle sacrifice now may bring us a huge reward in the future and is needed for future success, so you will be thanking yourself for making the necessary sacrifice now.

For example, making an effort to exercise now, so that you can lose weight and stay healthy in the future

Cut your expeniture and invest wisely, so that your wealth will grow

If we don’t make the necessary sacrifice we may never be able to achieve our goals

--

6.... Consistency is key
Doing somethings when only when we are excited about it / giving effort in a irregular schedule will not give us any significant long-term benefits. Instead , it is likely that our one-time effort is a waste of time since no result is generated.

Be consistent with your work and life

Build a habit of doing what is importand, necessary and help get you closer to your goals

--

7.... People may or may not help you

Others may be more capable, wealthier or have more resource than you, but that does not mean that they should help you with something as an exchange. Even your relative cannot help you to deal with everything in life. Therefore since you never know when someone will give you a helping hand, don’t have the expection that help will always arrive when you need it.

--

8.... Complaining is useless
Bemoaning and blaming the world have no effect but make your even more depressed and lose motivation. Do what you can to change your situation. Even if you voice your anger through complaining, the world won’t change because of that.

--

9... Blaming others won’t improve your life, action will
This life lessons is similar to the previous one.

It may be true the someone or something make your life miserable. But being angry at them all day long won’t improve your life. And since you cannot rewrite your past, focus on what you can do NOW to improve your life.

--

10... Some people do have unfair advantages, but that doesn’t mean you cannot compete with them
compete

Not even joining the competition means that you stand no chance of supassing them. But if you still compete at least you have a chance.

Look for ways that you can work smarter and harder than they do in order to compensate for your lack of unfair advantage

--

11... Use Failure to drive you forward, not backward

When you fail, don’t give up, don’t doubt yourself and don’t lose motivation.

Use the frustation of failure to keep yourself working hard for your dreams so that you won’t fail againg and can enjoy the taste of victory that will make all the trial and error along the way all worth it

--

12... Give up on things that doesn’t work
Sticking to things that don’t work is not the most efficient use of time. Reduce your loss

Use that time to find what works

--

13... Don’t let others discourage you
Follow your dream and work for it

--

14.... Filter what other people say and Dont’t let bad advices influence you

Others’ opinion may not always be applicatable in our life, so it is importand for us to filer out the bad advice first

15.... Don’t wait until it is too late

Now or never. Don’t leave regret in your life. If you want to travel around the world, go for it; if you want to start your own business, go for it; if you want to live a different life, go for it

You may or may not have a second chance to pursue your dream.
