Louisiana, Gulf states get $90 million to help coast recover from Bonnet Carre openings

The federal funds could be used for a range of recovery efforts, including job retraining, vessel and fishing permit buybacks, and projects that improve oyster and fish habitat.

Interesting article about how the federal government is giving money to states because of the opening of the Bonnet Carre Spillway. Wow, this has waste written all over it. And now every time they open the spillway the state will be expecting more money. Sad.
