Be Water, My Friend...
Life is complex. Relationships are complex. But sometimes answers are simple. One of my childhood heroes had the solution for us to live a balanced life, to not disturb the equilibrium that exists in nature and how to allow that equilibrium to enter your soul and body. Bruce Lee was a great inspiration to me, let him inspire you to and allow yourself to be amazed at what balance in body and soul can achieve:
I hope you watched the entire one-and-a-half minute: it'll benefit you the rest of your life! :-)
Yes. Thanks for sharing that. I always love the part where he is lighting matches. Remarkable. The amount of focus and hand eye coordination that takes is inspiring.
Even today, at age 50, I'm still in awe of this man after seeing him do it a 1000 times... Inspiring is the word!
Thanks for stopping by, @art-mess :-)
Ah yes! Bruce Lee was one of my childhood heroes too. IN fact, I trained in many martial arts, including two forms of Kung fu, judo, aikido, Hapkido and attained a Black belt in karate because of the inspiration from mr Lee.
His famous ”be like water, my friend..” is profound on many levels. Aikido taught me that principle in action. Hapkido made it practical.
Applying it in life with relationships was profound. still working on that
Actually, I needed the reminder about this principle so thank you for this.
Blessings @zyx066
I only practiced Judo as a kid, up until the green belt, and I quit Karate after getting the first brown belt. This is the story of my life: I never seem to be able to finish anything, to really master one thing. But some things I held onto long enough for them to become ingrained into who I am, and Karate is one of them: I started at age 8 and quit at age 18.
I never forgot Bruce's advice, but like you, I'm still working on it. I wish more people would.
Thanks for your reflections, as always :-)
