Good day, Welcome to my blog. Please sit back as you read through this article.

Being lonely is not something cool at all, but finding solace in an online community like steemit makes life meaningful.
From being an online community, I have made friends both offline and online. I felt the love via the one-love shared by the Nigerian community here on steemit. I really want this to continue, or so I hoped.

My journey on steemit was going fine and upwardly, I was made an Utopian moderator. Success I say and you too will say. Utopian founded by @elear rewards open source contributors, but it don't just reward all contributions, their are certain rules that must be followed before it can be accepted.

That is where I come in, that is the work of moderators. We make sure users follow the rules, we uphold the Utopian values which are Originality and Quality. Hours turn into days into weeks and months I am still an utopian moderator trying my best to add value to the system in little capacity.

Little did I know I am already in the black book of some users. Many users hate me, they despise me, they talk bad of me. My joy, laughter turned into cries not because of the hatred, but because they are friends I cherished and it will only lead me back to my lonely self.

What have I done wrong, Where did I miss a step. These are questions that came to my mind and need answers. I sought out for the answers and got the reply.

They are not happy with me simply because of my moderating actions, they thought I could do more. Unfortunately I couldn't and they are angry at me, called me names. I will continue to uphold and support the @utopian-io values irrespective of whose ox is gored.

I wonder what the likes of @espoem @knowledges @jestemkioskiem @ruah @rosatravels @yandot (little out of many of the utopian moderators) would have suffered simply because they uphold the values.

I support the old saying that you can never satisfy everyone. You just can't.

This is for you my Friends

I will be striped one day
I will be like you
You will be accepted one day
You will be like me
Then we will be one

I love your writeup. Well i make more lovely friends when existed as a moderator.

One thing utopian uphold, that is, never to frustrate a contributor. Well i can say for now, some new mods yet to understand how vital it is. You can moderate at 100% still make lovely friends even while rejecting their post that never qualified to be rewarded. My last issue was with @mkt but at last i love him the more even though my post was rejected by him. Bro its all about approach. You cant flog a child and at the same time pushed him away.

In all, moderate and increase your friendship through lovely approach.

I also made lovely friends, but what I noticed about people generally is They only love you when the going is good any change in that, they turn sour. It is not cool, and I believe this applies to 90% of other moderators too. You see a user flagging a moderator just because the user post is rejected, that is not approach, it is simply wickedness.

I will implore contributors to change their approach and their beliefs toward moderators, we are not there to hate you, we simply follow the rules. If you had done that, your posts would have been all approved.

At the end of the day it comes down to You can never satisfy everyone, not even your shadow

Well you have points but i think utopia needs to have a room of ethics for new mods. If things goes well fine, no one wish to stay when things are bad (only 0.00001 exist), id things goes bad in the sense of post rejection, the mod needs to start understandably the reasons for such action except the post itself is a fraud( still only approach will define it). Some contributors may have learn the bad way from friends, mods can change their mentality see them evolving into a great positive contributor.

Some contributors just won't change, they only want the approval, they forget that mods contributions sometimes get rejected too. They want it all to themselves.

If utopian was to design a system where moderator can be reviewed today.

Contributors that gave positive review on a particular mod when they got approval will still give the moderator negative review when they get rejected.

I agree with you.. Manner of approach really matters.. Lets learn to value each other and relate to each others as humans too

As it applies to moderators, same goes to contributors. They should treat mods as humans and not bots that must do their biddings. Even Bots sometimes do have bugs that makes it works irrespective of the command issued

Welcome bro. You really get me. It will go a long way in creating loving community and not money community

Finally mods and contributors are both humans...the rules should be there to guide

You advise well my friend.

This comment deserves hundreds of thumbs up. It's all about the way you approach situations and people. It's not just about accepting or rejecting a contribution. It's about the understanding of the what and why.
