21st September 2012 My wife first time in Italy, week end in Livigno

Here we are again folks,

Finally the Immigration granted the SHENGHEN visa to my girlfriend (my today wife), so she was able to join me for our summer vacation in Italy.

It was the first time for her, and I remember how everything was exciting for her.

After she arrived in Milan, we immediately left for LIVIGNO, one of the best resort in the ITALIAN ALPS.
The small village is a real jewel in on the top of the alps, at the border with SWISS.

The place it's interesting also because, due to its location that during the winter with the heavy snow they get could isolate it from the rest of the country, get the status of duty free area, so no V.A.T. here (in ITALY is 22%) so everythin is cheaper, even if the resort itself it's quite luxury!

The best period is of course the winter, because of the fantastic slopes and the snow, but we had time during summer, and we enjoyed the fantastic food, fresh air, and relax, and cheap shopping ;)

It was a good weekend, and we enjoyed a lot our stay there.

Simply amazing.
Often the image of ITALY is linked solely with the seasides of the southern part, but this place, along with many more, in the ITALIAN ALPS in the north of the country, deserve a better advertisement, because I think the beauty here is not inferior of the MEDITERRANEAN SEA one.
