Why is finding true love increasingly difficult in the world today?

Simple question but I have been thinking about this recently as a recent divorcee that has done some post-marriage dating with the aim to remarry...

What I suspect:

Excessive internet usage and social media has re-wired people to be more impulse driven. This effects people's behavior for the worse in numerous ways, which can add strain to relations. "Hell is other people", more so if they lack self control and have poor discernment of good and evil.
