J27 North Americans — day 2
Day 1 is in the books with 4 races in. It was blowing 8-15 knots and the waves were big and mean throughout the day. A half dozen boats had to return to shore for repairs including ours.
We are sitting in 4th place by 2 points so far which is not bad considering we missed a race patching a jib. You can’t win a regatta on the first day but you can lose one. Good to be in contention.
The concern today is the lack of wind until noon and whether or not we have enough beer to bob around all day.
Pray for wind!
