This post is like a punch in the stomach.
I think it's really useful that first hand information such as these reach as many people as possible in the world.
When we see some news reports on the situation in Venezuela, we do not have the idea of what the news is meaning in Venezuelan daily life.
I think it's the duty of all users to take action to make resteem of this post and get it everywhere.
I will also continue, as I have always done, to support with upvotes the contents of the Venezuelan community to give a little practical help, with the best wishes that the situation will arrive at a lasting solution and above all without bloodshed.
It is sad that the price for the arrogance of politicians must be paid double by the citizenry. First in taxes, and then in consequences.
What is the price with your local farmer?
Here products are bought in supermarkets or vegetable markets. Few states have local agriculture.
That is sad. Hard to get from the farmers.
Some products can generally be obtained at a slightly lower price in local markets but by paying with cash.
But it's a problem to get cash, you can literally stand in line for a whole day at the bank so you don't get anything!
In the best of cases they only give you 2.000 VES and part of that money is given to you in low denomination bills that the merchants refuse to accept, so you can't even buy 1 kg of rice with that money.
Barter where ever possible.

You forgot to say that the bolivar is losing value, so if we are earning 6.47 per a month, every week the prices is going too high and so the dollar, that means that every month is less than before. One month is 6.47, another month is just 3 dollars... It's a horrible thing.
