The streetwear is the result of wanting to create fashion without pretension. To put the comfort and the tendencies that are seen in the streets everyday without leaving out the luxury :D.
Why does luxury have to imply elegance? Today's woman has stopped wearing dresses and heels, today dresses in Raw Denim and sweatshirts of great proportions, and it is thanks to the power of social networks that this phenomenon is possible. Its boom is also a cultural phenomenon.
Really the streetwear has always existed, great firms like Supreme, Stüssy or Off-White among many others have opted for this style. A style that even children regardless of their gender want to wear since in such style their clothing is unisex :D
Although this style has been in the market since the 90s, from 2015 to today has been a global trend what was its trigger? What? or who? Was rapper Kanye West along with the brand Adidas with their slippers yeezy that are very used in these clothes. Or the Canadian singer Justin Bieber who with his world tour "Purpose World Tour" made use of this style and came to take out sweatshirts among other items for his tour and even personal use of their fans and those who are not also, since they are still in the market thanks to The wonderful receptivity they had in the market. You can also get to think that Kylie Jenner sister-in-law rapper Kanye, and the younger clan Kardashian-Jenner has been the one who has influenced in an amazing way the world of fashion, making use of this style as it is Kylie Jenner one of the girls that most use give to IS Ta dress with the singer Rihanna...
Are we in the streetwear era?
Well Yes! Perhaps these have been the trigger of this style of our days but the truth is, many speak of the culture of the streetwear; what it is now, what was before, how it came about and what was lost along the way. And, although there is no accepted definition as such, there are several elements that have been used to describe the concept more precisely..
These elements explain how an urban movement emerged in California during the 1980s and 1990s, led by young people in search of a new, different and unique style. Inspired by street influences like skate culture, graffiti, punk rock and hip hop. This generation of young people managed to develop an idea influenced by their creativity and rebellion, which eventually responded to a growing niche market attracted by its exclusivity.
