ARE YOU THE CALLED ONE?
After God calls us, then we become His believers. Once we believe, God sprinkles us with the blood shed on the cross by His Son Jesus Christ . We are fallen men, full of sin, corrupted and defiled. Without the sprinkling of the blood, we cannot be redeemed , we cannot be saved.
First Peter 1:2 refers to the “sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.” We were evil, filthy, sinful and corrupted. God’s condemnation was upon us, and there is only ONE WAY for it to be resolved. That is through the sprinkling of the redeeming blood of the Lord Jesus, the only solution to all of these problems. The blood not only covered our sins; it also purged them away. We are now blameless and spotless in the eyes of God.

@yukimaru, we are not fallen sinful defiled people, we are the righteousness of God. Jesus' death was the death of the old sinful nature, He died our death as us, His resurrection was the new birth of mankind (one with Him) we ascended and are coseated with. We are the righteousness of God, when He looks at us He see Christ because it is no longer us but Him.
Praise the Lord! That's why it is stated clearly in the 2nd paragraph that "We were evil, filthy, sinful and corrupted." :) His death on the cross ushered a new life, a new nature in Christ. The old man is dead, and the new man is born through His resurrection power.
