Self-talk can be extremely harmful especially after a failure. After a loss at work, you may have told yourself that you were going to fail again. The truth is that in order to succeed you need to beat your past self. Here is what I mean.


A lot of times, people will talk themselves out of success instead of encouraging themselves to try harder. They think that it is all about how they look at themselves. The truth is that they are just as good as anyone else and can do whatever they put their mind to.

The thing is, they already know all the answers to any question they may have. They already think that they are successful. So why don't they take action?

The reason that most people don't take action is because they feel like they are a failure. That is the number one enemy when it comes to beating your fears. You see, your fear of failure stops you from ever starting. It is this fear that gets in the way of you trying something new and trying your absolute best.

Here's the reason why your self-talk can be so destructive. Your thoughts are your very own personal signature on the type of person you are. If you constantly tell yourself that you are not good enough, or you are worthless, or anything else negative, then you will never be happy with yourself. People with negative self-talk tend to have negative thoughts and act negatively.

However, if you only think positive things and only think that you can do whatever you put your mind to, then you will succeed beyond your wildest dreams. That is the secret to having self-confidence and overcoming fears. You don't need to convince yourself to do anything. When you start thinking positively, you automatically begin to do those things.

There are some things to avoid when it comes to your self-talk. For example, you should not be afraid to challenge your self-image. Be confident in who you are. And always think positively! This is probably one of the most destructive things that you can have happening in your life. But if you don't believe that you can achieve great things, then you will remain in your little box and won't be able to see out of your box.

So how do you stop your self-talk being so destructive? Well, you have to learn to think like an optimist. Be like a kid with a big picture that is painting the most positive picture possible. Talk to yourself as if you were trying to achieve something major. By doing this, you will get into the habit of thinking in a more positive way and it will be incredibly difficult to ever fall into the negative thoughts again.

How can self-talk be incredibly harmful especially after a big loss? Well, the first thing that you should know is that losing something of importance can leave you greatly affected. And the second thing that you need to know is that you should never let yourself feel sad or depressed about any loss that you may have experienced. Emotions like sadness and grief are highly damaging and can lead to serious health problems. If you continue to think that way, it will be extremely difficult for you to overcome those emotions.

You should also be aware of how you dress. If you dress in a negatively worded manner, it will be extremely difficult for you to get around this bad habit. Dress in a way that shows confidence. And avoid wearing clothes that are tight, form fitting, and revealing. All these things can make you feel negative and ugly and it will be difficult for you to get over this.

How can self-talk be incredibly harmful especially after a big win? Well, winning something is also a very big motivation for most people. The problem with this is that people who win tend to think they have already achieved a lot and this can cause them to build up even more negativity to themselves. And this is not good for them at all. So when you feel yourself building up negativity after a big win, you should divert this energy into building up more positive self-talk.


It is really important for you to understand that your self-talk can be incredibly harmful especially after a big win if you want to maintain a healthy level of happiness and positive self-talk. Positive self-talk can be one of the most powerful tools in a person's self improvement arsenal. So make sure that you don't spend too much time dwelling on the negative things you thought about yourself after the game. Instead, divert these thoughts into building up a positive self-talk that is based upon the positives you believe you have accomplished after the game. This way, you will find it easier to stay motivated throughout the entire season.
