THE NATURE OF STEEMIANS AND HOW ITS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THRU SCAMS THATS ARE AMOUNG US

Steemians and Steemit are not immune to scams. Steemians are people with big hearts. But most of all people who have a giving heart. With a big hearts some precautions must be considered. We must be careful and protect it from those who wish to do it harm or take advantage of its giving nature. Dishonesty can harm our community from the inside out, and erode the trust of our members.

There are all kind of post asking for up votes and followings. These are minor and sometimes cute and clever. They are not what I am refer to and pose no real harm other then maybe becoming a nuisance or putting a smile on our face.

The posts I am referring about are the ones asking for donations for a sick family member, friends or the like. The posts with its story, and the pictures, brakes our hearts and appeals to our giving nature for their misfortune. The first response that we have is , How can I help.

To post a blog the with facts that are not true in order to solicit funds by definition is not only fraud but a scam.
Don,t send money unless you are absolutely certain that what you are contributing to is legit. If scammers are successful They will not only continue but increase in numbers. It is our responsibility not to encourage this practice and scrutinize these post to insure their legitimacy. By doing so we enable charity to prosper in our community.

It seem to me after 6 days on Steemit that everyone is jumping on posts as soon as they appear. Donation Post need to be-given more time to respond to for evaluation.
Never make rash or quick decision with you money. If its a lagidiment post they will be just as happy an hour into it as they would 5 min.

Ask question All lagidiment solicitors answer questions. Look at the posters wallet. If they have thousands in their wallet. Why would they need you 2 or 3 Steem to assist in care for a friend or loved one. Look at prior post, Is there a history of solicitations. Don't you go to your bank 1st to assist loved ones in need before asking strangers. Your 2 or 3 Steem might not be that much but multiplied it adds up.

Scams need to be swift. The quicker they can get your funds from you the greater their success. Scammers don't like to wait. The longer you hesitate the more they will push. Also known as the push sale or quick sale, catching you off guard. Scammer keep your decision making on the emotional side attempting to keep reason out of your decision-making process

If you have to separate your transfer of funds and your post. You can always go back in edit and your post stating you transferred funds, Giving you more time to think things over.

You create, take photos, tell stories, post funnies and communicate with each in other to name a few things, in order get a little ahead and share your talent and experience. Don't let a slacker just sit back and take your creativity .

To me there is nothing worse then someone who takes advantage of our children, the old, the sick and the less fortunate for their rewards and aspirations.!

It is better to give then to receive. Charity should be given and encourage in our lives and taught to our children. Charity done wisely
