All of us here have friends,i do too,but there has been a lot of disappointments when it comes to a lasting friendship,people are often betrayed by people who pretend to be their friends,led into trouble and problems by friend and family crises ignited by these false friends.This situation has led individuals to the conclusion that it's impossible to have a lasting friendship,what Is your own view,is it possible to have a true friend,who is a true friend ,here are qualities you should look out to your potential friend.
1: A TRUE FRIEND IS LOYAL
A friend who is loyal is resolved to always stand by you.He/she is not a chameleon who changes or switch sides when you are in trouble or make a mistake.There has been a situation whereby a friend blames a mistake on his friend after they commit an offence together am speaking from experience it happened to me.
2: A TRUE FRIEND HAS YOUR BACK
Someone who is a true friend will stand stand up to you when people try to hurt physically or emotionally,they do not care who is trying to hurt you they will defend you no matter what.if eventually u need their help the will run to your aid immedaitely,they will do it without reservation nor reward.
3: HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY
True friends are not phony,they show you who they really are,they do not pretend to be your friend,they don't slander about you.True friend are trustworthy,you have probably heard people say “I don't trust my friend,but he is my friend”,fake friends tend to lie and take advantage of their friend.They do not deceive you to make themselves seem more successful,stronger or better than you are.
4: THEY ACCEPT YOU FOR YOU
A true friend accept you for who you are,they encourage you to become a better version of you,while trying to keep a positive outlook on you,they do not think what others may think or say about you.instead they keep celebrate you of the person you are.although discretion should be used about what you hear about your friend cause your friends bad reputation may rub off on yours. There is a saying that states “Show me your friend and I will you who you are.”
5: THEY WANT THE BEST FOR YOU
A false friend might false you to change for they, they would rather give you the response you want to hear than they answer you need to hear that will improve your life for the better,they gently point you toward the right direction that will give a happier and healthy life.
6: THEY NEVER ABANDON YOU
Fair-weather friends are with you when things are successful and going well,if things go wrong they move on to the next happy and successful person.contrary to a real friend a true friend stays with you throughour all those traumas,disappoinments,mental health crises,and physical illness.little wonder the Bible said that a true friend shows love at all times and is a brother who is born for times of distress,a true friend who understands your troubles is far more valuable than a hundred friends who only show up for your smiles.BEWARE OF FAKE FRIENDS
