If Leeroy Jenkins Came To SteemIt.. At Least I Have Chicken

If you don't know who Leeroy is, here is a short explanation..

The scene opens and we are all dressed smartly in our SteemIt Avatars.  The gatherings are taking place in SteemSpeak and rocketchat, and over yonder in a legendary but mysterious world called SteemIt, Inc.  There are interesting and over the top characters in all the various factions.  Apparently we are playing on a PVP server, because there seems to be some infighting that has nothing to do with achieving the goals of the game. 

The goal of the game is to increase the price of Steem, in part due to activity in the digital world of SteemIt.  It is a complex world, but those who have enough interest - love the world.  They spend hours talking about it, sharing tips, arguing about it, but always with the intention of reaching the goal of increased Steem Power.  It sounds like this portion of the conversation from the video.

"  Christ. OK, uhh well what we’ll do, I’ll run in first, uh…gather up all the eggs. (steems). We can kinda just, ya know, blast them all down with flags. Um, I will use Intimidating Shout (uppercase letters) to kinda scatter ’em, so we don’t have to fight a whole bunch of them at once. Uhh… when my Shouts are done, I’ll need @Anfrony to come in and drop his Shout too, uh… so we can keep them scattered and not to fight too many. Um… when his is done, @Bas of course will need to run in and do the same thing. Uh…we’re gonna need Divine Intervention (Whale Votes) on our mages, (Sock-Puppets) uhh so they can AE, uh so we can of course get them down fast, ’cause we’re bringing all these guys. I mean, we’ll be in trouble if we take them down quick. Uhh, I think this is a pretty good plan, we should be able to pull it off this time. Uhh, what do you think Abduhl? Can you give me a number crunch real quick? "

[Abduhl:]]
Uhhh.. yeah, gimme a sec… I’m coming up with thirty-two point three three uh, repeating of course, percentage, of survival. "

Anyway, we are all hanging out in our guilds talking crap about the other guilds, how the developers are nerfing the Hunters, and calculating the odds of the most recent hardfork.  In comes @Leeroy.  We start to tell him the plan, the strategy, suddenly we hear....

 Alright chums, (I’m back)! Let’s do this… LEEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY JEEEEEENKIIIIIIIIIIINS!  

He runs into the Steem Platform and just starts posting.  Of course this aggros the whales, and we do not have enough healers with us..  Mayhem ensues:

 [Forekin:] Oh my God..

[Jamaal:] Goddamit Leeroy!

[Forekin:] Goddamit…

[Abduhl:] Leeroy, you moron! [various other put-downs of Leeroy amongst group] 

We run to the vote and comment section to try to save Leeroy, After the whales kill Leeroy they turn their Aggro onto other players, the team is dropping like flies.

 [Jamaal:] Listen, this is ridiculous.

[Unknown:] You d*****s!

[Forekin:] I’m down, Forekin down. Goddamit. 

[shouting, then a pause, followed by other put-downs]

[Abduhl:] This is the (drowned out)the time we’ve died on this, God! Spiffy, rez us! Spiffy, rez us!

[Jamaal:] Why do you do this shit, Leeroy?

[Spiffy:] I’m trying![Leeroy:] [cries] It’s not my fault! 

After a flurry of bad words and cussing and a summary of what went wrong...

 [Abduhl:] Leeroy, you are just stupid as hell.

[Spiffy:] Nimrod.

[[Another Player:] Oh my God…

[Leeroy:] … At least I have chicken. 

That is right, the entire team got wiped.  

Okay if you are looking for a moral to the story..  The best I can say is it is very likely that same guild got online the next day, built their skills, earned better gear, and lived to fight another day...

The take away?

At least I have chickens!
