He Forgot Our Anniversary!
Well, to tell you the whole story, so did I. Once I realized the big day was four days ago, I felt a little guilty.
Then I realized.. This is a freebie, he forgot too, and he doesn't care either! :)
I immediately thought I should make him feel guilty and a little afraid.
So, I texted him and asked if he was EVER going to remember.
When he called, we both laughed.
I am really bad at holidays and celebrations.
One year I forgot my own birthday
One year, I forgot his..
And to this day I am still a little mad he let me forget, I would never do that to him.
lol, I don't know what this says about us, but it kind of defines who we are together.
Am I the only one who hates anniversaries and birthdays?

I don't hate them and the day can be fun, I just hate the expectations around them.
I totally agree. Kind of related - I also don't understand the importance placed on anniversaries of "bad" events either (deaths in the family, etc.)

I think that's a better way of putting it. That describes how I feel too. I despise the expectations as if it's such a big deal! I mean come on mate...
Agreed, if I want something, I will just either get it.. or ask for it. No need to stress. I sometimes wonder how society decided that making people who love you feel stress is a good thing.
Maybe it is just that I feel kind of awkward in that way.

Forgetting the birth days or special days such as anniversary is just normal to men. I have this problem and you know how it's end :D
So, forgetting such kind of special day is just normal for anyone due to this busy life style. Anyway in my case, it raise problems :D And that's the nature of humans :D

It just so happens that today is my 6th wedding anniversary. We're both like ... what're we gonna do ?! maybe order pizza ? We love eachother the whole year round, so there's no oressure to 'make up for lack of' on special occasions as these. I think that's the main goal. To keep loving eachother so that you feel special all year round.

I guess I am also guilty of forgetting some important dates in my life. But I guess with the hectic society we are living in, sometimes we just forget as we are always on the move and time passes so fast. As long as the other party is aware that you CARE & LOVE, I am sure that's enough. Maybe the high tech phone can alert us, but we still need to take the time to key into the device first.

That's funny. I think it means you have such a good relationship that everyday is just as good as the last. Who needs holidays when every one is special?

Tomorow is my girlfriend birthday . I almost forgot , than your post reminded me i have too much money in my poket , so i had to missed somebody's birthday , hahaha .I'm gonna prepare something special , so i don't sleep on the couch tomorow
