RE: Do You Make Money On Steemit? - Knowing I'm reaching people keeps me going - BONUS STORY at the end
We are in the same boat. I am also just searching for ways to do what I do without the financial aspect being a thing. I think you will do great here. Just go around initiating friendships with others like you did with me. It seems like you are already doing good things. I hope you reach more people and can quit your job. I already have, but that's another story....
Thank you for that encouragement. I'd love to hear your story. Do you have that posted?
I'm dribbling that out as I go along. I mixed my life story with a little fiction and that's what I share at patreon (starting to share it here). Here I focus more on essays about society and life, trying to inspire the people who could potentially inspire others, since there are so many of them here.
I tried to quit money after reading "The Man who quit Money". I didn't fully quit, but I got close and lived on almost nothing for 3 years. Then I got tired of the fleas and hard floors and went back into society, trying to take what I learned and find a kind of balance. It was a nice test of progress but selling my time was still not for me. Now I'm just trying to be as awesome as I can be, knowing that if it's awesome enough, I can make it all work without sacrificing my own freedom or security.
That's the super condensed version ;-)
Very cool. Thank you for sharing :)
