You Defeat Yourself Mentally- How to Disarm Negative Self Talk

As a human, we are defeated mentally far before you exhaust yourself physically.

When you set a goal with sincerity of heart, but distraction, worry and your internal thoughts will sabotage you.

Your mind is your greatest ally and foe when facing a challenge. Your mind tells you why you cannot do something and then justifies this. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Knowing this, make sure you ignore the negaitve self talk. When an excuse creeps into your brain, immediately dismiss it.

Keep on your task. The biggest reason your brain sabotages you is that the goal is too big. Break it down into small steps. When you accomplish a step, reward yourself. Stack up wins, and you will be well on your way.

Negaitve self talk is a function of your brain's wish to conserve energy and be comfortable. Ignore this natural urge to make progress on your path.
