The other day I went with my parents to a shopping centre and I toke the Canon camera with me as I wanted to take other pics of my parents in some other beautiful part of the British countryside.

The day before we went to a lake 1h away from home and I toke beautiful pics of the place and my parents too... I was so happy to have them. We were supposed to go to Anglesey after the shopping centre but because we spent to much time in there we chose to go back home.

I forget the camera underneath the front passenger seat but not very visible from outside.

The morning after at 3am I went in my car to take my parents to the airport and I found out the something was wrong... I have found a coin in my gear stick and of course it wasn't the place... so I toke it and I put in the place where I had like 8-10£ in coins but nothing more was there. I was thinking... wow did I use all those coins yesterday? And of course the answer was NO. Then I did ask my mum to check if the camera was underneath the sit and she answered that nothing was there.

In that moment I was so angry but I didn't want to ruin the last minutes I was having with my parents in UK so I start thinking about it only once I was coming back home. I wasn't sure about the fact I was robbed till I went back home and after looking everywhere for my camera I then realised that it was gone. Someone opened my LOCKED car in somehow without let the alarm go on.

How the hell is possible? Well apparently there is an universal remote control that opens any car secured with wireless technology.

I did call the police and I informed about the episode and actually a police officer was very rude with me saying.. I gave you the crime number so stop asking what we could do... think that your stuffs are gone and that's it!
I was feeling very bad after this call but I didn't accept the fact that someone could come in my property and take whatever they wanted so I was sure I have had to do something. I did call my boss asking a late starting as I needed to speak with the police about my incident.. and I went in town centre. If I was a thief and I wanted to have easy and quick cash... I was going to those shops to try to sell my stuff.
So I went to 2 of the cash converter shops and I gave them info about my camera and the serial number.

At 16.04 I received a call from one of the 2 shops saying that someone tried to sell my camera. The s/n was matching with the one I gave so finally the camera was in their hands... they bought it from the guy to ensure that this camera was safe.

Today I went to collect my camera and to complete a police statement and hopefully give the possibility to jail this thief as the shop where he went has had CCTV on.

Son stato decisamente assente nei giorni scorsi per via della visita dei miei genitori in UK. Evento più che gradito che mi ha portato ad impegnare qualsiasi moment avessi disponibile per far qualcosa con loro. Siam andati in diversi posti e ho scattato diverse foto a loro, a noi ed ai posti visitati. Tante tantissime foto che avrei voluto postare su steemit una volta che se ne fossero tornati a casa.

Il 30 ottobre siamo andati ad un outlet a Chester per poter far un po' di shopping.. si voleva andare a visitare insieme Anglesey, un'isola a nord del Galles e quindi mi ero portato la fotocamera Canon dietro per fare altri scatti. Poiché lo shopping e' durato più del dovuto... abbiamo deciso di tornare a casa.

Parcheggio la macchina davanti casa, prendo le cose dalla macchina ma dimentico la fotocamera che era sotto al sedile del passeggero anteriore. Si lo so mea culpa me ne sono dimenticato ma non credevo potesse mai succeder qualcosa.

Ore 3 del mattino eravamo pronti per andare all'aeroporto perché' dovevo accompagnare i miei genitori. Entro in macchina e noto una monetina a sinistra del cambio. Campanello d'allarme... come mai la monetina era li? Se avessi guidato sarebbe caduta... vabbè l'ho presa e messa nel porta cenere davanti al cambio... o cazzarola avevo finito tutte i pounds che avevo li. Cosa ancora più strana... inizio a pensare... cosa cavolo ho pagato con le monete? Non ho pagato nessun parcheggio il giorno prima... quindi inizio ad insospettirmi sempre di più. Chiedo a mia madre di controllare se ci fosse la fotocamera sotto al suo sedile ed effettivamente non c'era.

Mi stavo incazzando da morire... ma non mi andava di arrabbiarmi mentre ero con i miei genitori quindi ho cercato di tranquillizzarli dicendo che magari era a casa.

Una volta a casa ho controllato ovunque e chiaramente non c'era. ERO STATO DERUBATO.

Assurdo ho lasciato Bari per una vita migliore e con meno criminalità ma invece ogni posto e' paese.

La cosa che non capivo e' come cavolo sia possibile aver aperto la mia auto nonostante fosse chiusa e con allarme. Cioè non e' una macchina vecchia che e' più facile da aprire... eppure sono riusciti a raggirare allarme e chiusura centralizzata entrando e rubandomi... gratta e vinci, monete, fotocamera e custodia dei reyban.

Ero proprio nero, chiamo la polizia per riportare l'accaduto ed uno dei poliziotti al telefono mi ha anche urlato contro facendomi sentire una merda e dicendomi che mi dovevo rassegnare e che le mie cose ormai erano sparite dato che non c'erano testimoni ne videosorveglianza nella zona.

Non son venuto da Bari per farmi fregare in UK... questo era il messaggio che avevo in testa e chiaramente non riuscivo più' a prendere sonno quindi son uscito da casa e sono andato in centro. Pensavo che se qualcuno avesse voluto vendere la refurtiva, il posto migliore per vendere la roba sarebbe stato uno dei cash converter in centro.

Son entrato in entrambi i negozi che credevo potessero esser contattati dal farabutto che mi aveva derubato e ho dato i miei estremi per poter esser contattato in caso qualcuno avesse cercato di vendere la fotocamera (unica cosa rintracciabile).

Ore 16.04 ricevo una telefonata... era la manager di uno dei negozi e mi stava chiamando per informarmi che una persona era entrata nel suo negozio per vendere una canon... appena ha visto il tipo ha ipotizzato potesse esser la mia fotocamera dato che il tipo puzzava di marcio. Ha comprato la fotocamera dal tipo per garantire che la fotocamera rimanesse in mani sicure. Nello stesso momento il tipo e' stato ripreso dalle CCTV e quindi oggi son stato chiamato dalla polizia per andare a fare una dichiarazione ed a riprendermi la mia fotocamera purtroppo pagando una fee che era quanto il negoziante aveva pagato per impossessarsi della fotocamera e cioè 30 sterline.

Ovviamente non avrei dovuto pagare ma francamente meglio spendere 30 sterline anziché perdere 350 sterline.

Tutto il mondo e' paese... avrei voluto far una caricata della madonna a sto ladro ma alla fine ho evitato di prendere questa decisione perché ho troppo da perdere e quindi spero solo che la polizia possa far la cosa giusta.

Vi e' mai capitata una situazione simile?
