Nice read, I like how you have brought light to an agenda. The word "Jew" is a Roman invention used to lump all of the 12 tribes together to strip them of their uniqueness and muddy their history. "Jew" came from the name Judah, which was the primary remaining tribe in Canaan at the time of Rome. Therefore, the idea of being able to "become Jewish" is a misnomer at best, and Rabbinic Judaism from the Babylonian Talmud was NOT what the tribe of Judah was practicing before the destruction of Israel.
