Two more steps to success if the direction is correct
One of my friends, he noticed that his colleague was making a lot of money in the sales department, so he decided to join. Looking at the marketing department's colleagues creative, he will think about whether he can make a plan to make the boss praise. But he has no interest in his current job, and he doesn’t put in much effort into it.
I asked him, did you figure out what to do in the future? He said no, he didn't know what he could do, but he didn't like the job at the moment. Will you work hard in the sales department?
He was blinking his eyes, asking me, do I need to recite performance? Is there a base salary if I don't get sales? If not, what should I do with my rent?
He has yet to find his way, that is to say, the direction to move toward in the future. Many people's plans for the future are vague and taking one step at a time for several years.
Life pushes us to keep moving forward, it is too late to stop to ask ourselves, is this the life you want, is this what you dream of?
Not finding directions when you are young is one of the most tragic things, because when you come to middle age, after a lot of things, if you are lucky enough to find the direction, and then move in that direction, you will be very tired. You no longer have young wings, you can only run on the ground, of course, it wouldn’t be faster than flying.
So when you are young, you must know exactly which direction you want to go. If your grades are not good, but you like to draw, then you should move toward this interest. You don't necessarily have to get into a university, you can choose to go to art school. You have to clearly understand that the focus of the university may not be able to pass the test, but the art school is certainly no problem. That's the direction.
Once the direction is clear, what needs to be determined is the "success factor." Not that the direction is chosen, you can play with peace of mind. NO, you need to add elements into the direction. You need to analyze what are the key elements to achieve your goals, that is, where you must meet the basic requirements in order to be successful.
If you like sales related work, then you should not only learn the basic sales skills, you should also learn about the products, learn communication skills with people, customer psychological analysis, and other series of elements to support your direction. Without these elements, your direction is just an empty shell.
Success is always a practical pie, not a verbal pie.
The third is to clarify these success factors, but also to further refine the indicators, through specific indicators to measure whether you are moving towards success. I have seen many people who pretend to work hard, study hard every day, and even have no time for fun. But the end result was not ideal, some even failed to get the desired position or failed to pass the exam. They said: “I had worked hard, but God didn't see it. I'm already very worthy of myself.”
For people who say the results are not important and the process is unreasonable, I think it is more like a good word for comforting people.
The process of not having results as a yardstick is to amuse yourself!
The so-called indicator is the goal, you have to move towards this goal, Without these settings, you can't succeed even you have the direction. Get started early, set the direction, select the elements and set the index.
Stick to it and you'll be able to achieve many, many things.
