Fire has been used from the stone age and now we got many devices which can be used to light up any time. Match sticks or Matches have been their golden ear packed with the facts which we are going to know today. So lets Start...

Fact 1

Matches were also called as "lucifer matches". Nobody called them just "Matches" until 1830. Lets start a trend and call it as "lucifer matches" again.

November 27, 1826 is said to be the date on which John Walker accidentally invented matches. He discovered them when trying to rub off some chemicals that had solidified on the end of a stick he had been using to stir them.

Lighter were invented before matches. Lighter (Year 1816) were invented 10 years before Matches(Year 1826). Matches isn't that much old.
