Way to Vegetarian : part 1 .. Chhole Chana Masala .. Make it your self Guide

Today i would try to Explain how to make mouth watering ( spicy ) chana masala for your self

it's #vegetarian and totally healthy . contains protein , carbohydrates and fiber in ample amount but almost no Fat ..
let's get started .. what we need is...

1-2 table spoon of water or veggie broth
1 1/2 table spoon of cumin seeds
1 chopped yellow onion ( can be added more according to your test )
5 minced cloves of garlic ( also can be added as per test )
1-inch piece of peeled and minced green ginger
1 finely chopped green Serrano pepper
1 1/2 table spoon of garam masala (recipe below)
1 1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1/2-3/4 table spoon of sea salt
1/4 table spoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
1 can (28 oz) whole peeled tomatoes
3 cups cooked chickpeas (canned works too) drained and rinsed

Now let's make " Garam Masala " ( garam is a Hindi word . meaning in hindi is " hot " )

1 tbsp cumin
1 1/2 table spoon of coriander
1 1/2 table spoon of cardamom
1 1/2 table spoon of black pepper
1 table spoon of cinnamon
1/2 table spoon of ground cloves
1/2 table spoon of ground nutmeg
Mix together and stir in an airtight jar on mixture for some time .. let it be a powder .
you can make it in bulk and use everyday with your food ..

now lets get started and make it . buckle-up ...

First Heat water or veggie broth in large sauce pan. Wait for 2-3 minutes ...
Add cumin seeds and cook for 2 min. let them get up and down through heat ..
now add onion and garlic first then Stir in onion, garlic, ginger and Serrano and cook for about 5 minutes. (Stir often)
Then stir in garam masala, coriander, turmeric, salt and cayenne if using. Cool for another 2 minutes or so.
Add tomatoes and their juices. With the back of a wooden spoon break the tomatoes apart and mix them well with other ingredients
Raise heat to medium-high and add the chickpeas. Cook for about ten minutes.
Serve over basmati rice and garnish with cilantro and a lemon wedge.

if you like and have stomach for spicy food to you can Eat it raw, without rice ...
