The reason why life can't stop
Something I must remind myself, especially right now, is that life doesn't have a pause button like the one in the movies, we can't stop time and play it when we want it most, time does not stop, it always passes, no matter if there are economic, civil or political crises, no matter what storm we are going through in our personal life, time does not stop, we must adapt and deal with it, live our life anyway, because time passes, and although we can paralyze most of the activities of our daily life, as it is currently happening, we cannot paralyze life, we always have to live it.
So although we can spend our time waiting for everything to return to normal, for the situation to improve, or for there to be a better climate, the reality is that we will never recover this moment, and at some point we will wake up and realize that we have lost part of our life, not for having wisely used it, but for having wasted it waiting for everything else to change except us.
We must adapt, that is what all animals do to survive, we are not the exception, and although it has been a long time since the time we dwelled in caves and the crises we face are not, most of the time, a matter of life and death, this remains an important lesson for our survival.
Quarantine curtailed my civil rights, governments are tyrannical, the economy is not well, etc., these are real ills that affect millions of people in various parts of the world, and it is unfortunate, but we must live with them, we cannot stop, we cannot wait for all these problems to be solved, waiting for everything to be ready to start doing what we must do is the best way to never start doing it.
Today, despite all the problems we live with on a daily basis, it is the best time to start doing what you always wanted to do, because there will always be obstacles and problems, personal and public, crises and all kinds of things that we have to deal with that are going to be against us, and we can either let this flood us, or we can do something about it.
Life does not have a pause button and it happens anyway, that is the reason why we must take advantage of this moment and not let it pass, we don't want that in a few years in the future we look back and remember this moment as the time of our life we lost waiting for everything to settle.
Things will never be completely right and we will never be free of problems, we have to live despite them. The good side, as all evils have one, is that crises provide great opportunities, we must make sure to take advantage of them.
