Introduce Myself-Vanda Dream 自介-兰花梦

I used Vanda to be my account name, because it is from a beautiful family!
我的注册名叫做万代兰(一种兰花），因为这个名字来自于一个美丽的家庭!

I read a touching story recently, it is about a family in china, the father Dr.Josef Margraf is a famous ecologist From Germany, the mother is a journalist from China. In 1997, Dr. Josef Margraf was assigned to improve the rainforest land in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan province of China, where he met his wife Li minguo.
我最近读了一篇关于一个发生在中国家庭里非常感人的故事。父亲叫马悠是一位来自德国非常有名的生态学家，母亲是一位香港报社的中国记者。在1997年，马悠愽士被派遣到中国云南省的西双版纳帮助帮助修复热带雨林土地, 他就在那里认识了他的妻子李旻果.

Xishuangbanna is located in Yunnan province at the south-west of china, it was beautiful rainforest until 1970’s. The local farmers tried to make more profit, so they cut down the rainforest plants and replaced them with rubber trees to make the rubber products. But the rubber trees took the nutrition from the rich rainforest land, returning with dry and infertile land.
西双版纳坐落在中国西南的云南省境内，那里曾经是美丽的热带雨林，但是在上个世纪七十年代，当地原住民为了利益而砍伐了大片大片的雨林植被，种植了橡胶树来制成各种橡胶制品。但是橡胶树吸干雨淋里的养分，却留下了贫瘠的土地。

The couple was so worry about the rainforest would be disapeared soon, so they decided to buy a small (around 10666 square meters) rubber tree land. They cut down the rubber trees and started experiment of changing it back to rainforest. Dr. Margraf went to the mountains to find the different seeds and wild orchids every day, brought them back and planted into their land. After 10 years hard working, finally their rubber tree land returned back to rainforest! The wild orchid blooming on the trees, the spring water seeping out of the rocks……
马博士夫妇非常担心热带雨林很快会被毁光，他们决定买下一片大概十六亩的橡胶林，他们把橡胶树砍掉开始实验把它还原成热带雨林。马博士每天都去山里面捡回不同的种子或是树上掉下来的兰花，然后种植在他们的橡胶林里。经过十年的辛勤付出，终于他们的橡胶林开始变回了热带雨林了.那些野生的兰花开始开花了，泉水开始从石头里面渗出来了……

A few years later, they established the Chinese Folk Biodiversity Conservation Area and they wanted to try it on the bigger land, they rented 4,444,400 square meters of rubber tree land and wanted to do the same mission of returning it back to rainforest. When they were immersing their happiness and success, but then tragedy happened. In 2010, Dr. Margraf had a deadly heart attack and sadly left his wife and two beautiful daughters behind. And the next year, there was a wild fire that almost burned all the trees they planted in the mountains. Mrs.Margraf was so sad and desperated, but she did not be beaten down by all those shocking tragedies, Mrs. Margraf knew she had to stand up for carrying on her husband’s dream to save the rainforest and be the role model for their kids, teaching by precept and example... Just like Dr Margraf, Mrs. Margraf started to take the kids out to the mountains to bring back seeds and wild orchids everyday, and then planting them into the rubber tree land……
几年后，他们成立了中国民间生物多样性保护区, 想在更大片的土地上实验，他们租了一片6666亩的橡胶林, 想用同样的方式把它们变回雨林。可是正当他们沉浸在幸福与成功里的时候，悲剧发生了，2010年, 马愽士心脏病发去世，留下李旻果的两个美丽的女儿。在他去世第二年，一场山火几乎把他们种的树都给烧光。李旻果陷入深深的悲伤和绝望中，但是所有这些打击并没有击垮李旻果，她知道她一定要站起来追随马博士的梦想把雨林还回来，给孩子们树立一个好榜样，言传身教给下一代...她像马博士一样每天带着两个女儿在山里面捡回种子和兰花，种植在橡胶林里......

Vanda is their favor flower , and also they have given this name to their younger daughter. I borrowed Vanda to be my account name to appreciate their family and their dedicated life to earth! When my friend Susanli recommended this blog, the first thing I wanted to do is to write their story, I wish more and more people knowing their story and learn from them!
万代兰花是马博士夫妇最爱的花，他们也把这个名字给了他们其中的一个女儿。我借用了这个名字来感谢他们一家对地球的贡献! 当我的朋友Susan推荐这个博客的时候，我第一件想写的就是他们的故事，我希望更多的人能知道他们的故事并向他们学习.

Their story bothered me for a few days and left me thinking deeply about if I should do something in my rest of life for the earth like they are doing……
他们的事迹困扰了我好几天，也让我好好想想下半辈子是否也应该像他们一样为我们的地球做点什么……
