When you are kind to others, it not only changes you, it changes the world. ♡♡♡ Please read and help 🙏🏽
Have you ever heard someone saying something cruel about pigeons? Have you ever seen anyone throwing something at a pigeon? Or someone trying to kick one? Have you ever seen someone hit a pigeon with their car and just drive off? Well that's what happened to Cesar here. Except not only was he hit by a car but he was thrown in the bin afterwards. He was still alive and was thrown away like trash. Thankfully he was found by someone who knew that he needed help🙏🏽 Most of the pigeons are hit and runs, leaving them with painful injuries to suffer and die on the side of the road. The general public have a hatred for pigeons and think it's ok to treat them like they are worthless. Many people believe pigeons are disease ridden but it's simply not true. Pigeons are no more susceptible to diseases than any other bird or wild animal. If we want any chance of healing this world we need to learn to live in harmony with those we share it with. We need to learn to treat the Earth's most innocent beings with the kindness and compassion they deserve. Not disregard and neglect. In Spain there are very few organisations dedicating to helping pigeons in need.💕
How do birds survive the cold weather, especially during really cold winters like the one we are having now in Bulgaria?
One part of this answer has to be, sadly perhaps, that the sometimes don’t.
Birds generally live on the edge when it comes to energetic. It takes energy (from food) to keep them warm. Birds are endothermic, meaning that they produce their own heat (mostly) via blood flow in their bodies.Since they don’t store a lot of energy in fat (that is hard to do for a flying animal) it is quite possible for a bird to run out of heat-producing energy overnight even when it isn’t winter. That would amount to, essentially, starving to death.
If you wanna help them, like I do,provide fresh, clean, liquid water so birds don't have to use precious calories to melt snow or ice to drink in winter and just give them some food. It's not much for us, but it's mean the world for them :)
