As you enter the main entrance you will be greeted with lush green scenery good for 5 minutes and you will be ascending to a concrete staircase with 300 plus steps. Gently ascend according to your pace. After the staircase you will be climbing a short open trail about 80 degree slope (dusty during summer but muddy during rainy season), worry not the slope is installed with safety rope where you can grab yourself uphill. As soon as you reach the end point of the open trail you will welcome with a forested spot.

The forested spot is where the trail becomes challenging because it’s slippery. In this part you might yourself muddied so better secure your footing and grab some short grass or twigs along the trail to ensure you from mud-sliding.After the muddy and slippery part you will be arriving at the bamboo portion where most trekkers and hikers rest and catch their breath. At the end point of the bamboo is the steep rocky terrain.

It is not as dangerous as long as you're not jumping the sharp portion of the rocky trail. Better be careful in this portion to avoid any injury or worse hard fall. The last part of the trail, the rocky summit. The best part of Mount Capistrano. Where you can enjoy the fresh cool breeze of the wind and feasting your eyes from the green yellow rice fields and nearby short mountain ranges.
