The Idea of #CitizenGov

Create a protected 1st amendment social media platform with the best OS features of Tor, Freenet, blockchain, FB, Twitter, Periscope, Gmail, Instagram and Youtube for US citizens on the .gov domain!

How It Works

Citizen.gov

Citizen.gov will be the landing page linking to the directory, site maps and faq for the individual and public digital spaces as follows:

My Front Lawn

My Front Lawn is your personal digital public space like the space in front of your house. You can make it as public or private as you want.

Main Street USA

Main Street USA consists of digital public spaces like sidewalks and parks in US cities and states where US citizens can freely and peacefully assemble, anonymously or not via a Tor/Periscope type interface/heatmap, to speak, network socially, redress grievances, teach or preach in front of seats of government, businesses, places of worship, media, schools, etc.

The Cost

My Front Lawn
Access - Nothing using free library access.
Hosting - Nothing! Citizens can host and access their own sites and control their own content at their own cost or host and anonymously access using existing OS software peer-to-peer tech with apps like Tor and Freenet.
Domain Name - Nothing! Citizens can get their domain with their voter registration from the city (see example below).

Main Street USA
Access - Nothing using free library access.
Hosting - Nothing! All meeting places can be hosted and anonymously accessed using existing OS software peer-to-peer tech with apps like Tor and Freenet.
Domain Name - Nothing! The .Gov domain will simply issue subdomains to every state, county and city. For example:
texas.gov (State)
austin.texas.gov (City)
austin.texas.gov/chucknorris (Citizen)

The Benefits

1st Amendment Protected digital space! Citizen.gov is public digital space where you have full rights!

Won’t get censored! FB, Twitter, Youtube, Google etc are private corporate spaces that can block or censor you. Citizen.gov can't and won't because you host your own content!

Opt in content! You can push your content to your subscribers. Like standing in the street - people can choose to listen to you or walk away.

Spam Free! Only verified citizens can access your space and you can block anyone you don’t want to give access to - like you can in your home.
