Thoughts On Ending Our Suffering - Plus What Life/Death Really Are & Why Death Is Not A Solution To Problems.

in #life6 years ago (edited)

It can be easy to forget, when sat in a peaceful part of the planet, that there are places all around (including nearby) that are - for the beings involved there - essentially Hell on Earth. A key part of increasing consciousness and personal power is being open to sensing and responding to the suffering of other beings. Here I will look at this fundamental topic in more detail.

soul

If you look at and FEEL into the people operating the many heartless torture facilities on Earth, for example fur farms in china and slaughter houses all around the world, it can be realised that they are operating without heart presence and thus with no real emotion (perhaps beyond some rage and other feelings bubbling beneath the surface).

skinned animals

They might appear 'perfectly normal' if you met them in the street, but they also might not and they certainly would not be warm, open hearted, creative or free in their mind and soul. The only person I have known who worked in such a 'factory' actually hung himself not long afterwards - which raises the question:

How do those who work in these places carry on doing it?

In order to be surrounded by such death, stress and torment on a daily basis requires either a strong heart and will (in the case of those who are present to improve the situation) or complete disconnection from emotions and massive denial in the case of those who are causing the suffering and 'working' there.

A human body can operate somewhat robotically, without any guidance from intuition, love and emotion - such that the individual 'reasons' that all manner of things are acceptable and 'ok' - when in truth they are not and anyone who is awake and can feel will know they are not ok. Skinning countless animals while alive and leaving them to die in agony is CLEARLY not OK and yet many people do this every day for 'money'. Denial is the problem here and also denial of denial. When we deny something is happening, we not only choose to live a lie but we also block out our own capacity to understand truth in the future. This leads to catastrophe at some point, guaranteed.

The extent of the denial and suffering in the fur farms, for example, is so extreme that for a moment I thought that it would be wiser to carpet bomb them rather than to allow the huge suffering there to continue, but another part of me already understood why this would not solve anything. Death is not a solution to anything and it is ultimately another form of denial.

Denial & Death Cannot Solve Anything

Some have learned that we reincarnate - that when our physical body dies, our spirit continues and is reborn. However, this is not the full story.

Life is vibration. Death is the absence of vibration.

Everything that is alive is vibrating to some extent and everything that is dead is not. Interestingly, this means that even 'things' that we THINK are dead (such as rocks) are to some extent living due to their vibration - although there are important reasons why they are far from being able to move in a way that we would typically call 'alive'.

This universe is formed from an infinite and unified self (we can call 'the one') - an electromagnetic field of great splendour and creativity - which thinks and feels. The forms of the universe are WITHIN the self and not outside at all.

Therefore, killing a dense form (such as an animal or human) within this massive space (massive from our human perspective) does not actually stop very much, other than the expression of that thing in the short term. The underlying mechanics that caused that thing to exist will still also exist and thus the energetic seeds that originated the life form will, in some way, cause a form of this nature to come to life again. The only way to resolve this is to heal at the deepest, causal levels - such that the 'seeds' are changed at the 'blueprint' level. The infinite field of life contains levels which are not physical and from which the physical plane arises - if we act only on the physical plane, we are only scratching the surface - as evidenced by the continual failure of 'modern medicine' to achieve real healing, despite the marketing strategies of the corporations involved.

You can see and feel the way that death does not solve problems by noticing that 'the war to end all wars' (world war 1) really was no such thing - it just led to more wars. Despite the huge and tragic loss of life, little changed in the long term. You cannot have peace through war, it is completely impossible. The imbalance and scarring caused by war requires immediate attention and healing on a vast scale - not more violence and destruction.

war is pointless

Note: This is part of why we must never trust the lies of political figures who claim they are going to solve our problems and 'bring security' through bombs and militaries. Yes, the issues in some parts of the world are highly complicated and not simple to resolve, but more violence only makes that worse. You might think that after 1000s of years of attempting to use violence to 'solve' things on Earth, that those involved might have by now learned that this simply cannot work! The reality is that many of them do know this but continue to kill and murder on a massive scale for their own reasons - sometime ideological and sometimes just pure greed due to their investment in the corporations that make the weapons and 'rebuild' the destroyed land once the carnage ends.

Life needs love and acceptance of self. Death rejects love, denies self and is nothing. You need to feel this to understand it.

What is Denial?

Denial is essentially nothing. Denial rejects an aspect of reality and does not allow it to be received, felt or understood.

Sometimes we go into denial due to thinking that we have no other option. It could be done semi-consciously, consciously or unconsciously. For example, if you are beaten as a child, you might disconnect from the pain and hurt coming from your 'loved one' and that part will effectively become sealed off from the conscious part of you - trapped in unconsciousness.

When we are in this state, we might be able to encounter all manner of evil and appear to not be bothered by it - but that is not really the case. What is actually occurring is that the part of us that IS bothered by it cannot speak up because it is now effectively lost from the rest of the being. The only way to resolve this is to heal through the heart into wholeness using unconditional self acceptance. By bringing loving acceptance for whatever parts of us that we can find - perhaps during meditation or other quiet times - we can start a process of reintegrating and finding our lost, injured, dying and unconscious parts of self (fragments).

When we block out parts of ourselves into unconsciousness, we may become involved in evil deeds without really understanding that this is what we are doing - our unconsciousness prevents our understanding our own action. This is a perilous situation indeed, since there appears to be no way to help someone in this state as they themselves may have no understanding of the need for change.

Promotion of Real Life

The marketers and social engineers of this world put huge effort into misleading as many as they can - so much so that the products being sold typically make us ill and yet the glossy advertising makes out as if they will solve all our problems. Even 'Reality TV' is usually scripted.

The path of healing this complex situation starts with me, you and every individual doing what we can to live life in full reality - with no denial. So we do due diligence checks to find out where the products we used were sourced from and we do what we can to live in harmony with the planet, perhaps by growing food - for example.

Gradually, those who choose real life and live well as a result will be the new leaders simply because they are more empowered to act, more balanced, more graceful and more alive. Therefore, while it is extremely difficult to share a planet with those who do not feel and who are, in fact, barely alive - the reality is that by continuing to choose to heal, balance and evolve as individuals - major waves will be made and major transformation will be accelerated. Even just simple acts of loving kindness and also always listening to your own feelings and never over-riding your own feelings may be enough to open an important doorway for us.

If I had my way, I would teach the children that emotional integrity and balance are more important than language, maths and sports. Without emotional (and spiritual) integrity we will suffer and die - yet where is this kind of necessary wisdom in our education systems? It is usually only found in cartoon martial arts movies and kind of laughed at as being kooky.

None the less, those who live without denial DO become more powerful in every way and will make the called for changes. Who among us is aligning to that destiny path? Anyone who chooses life needs to ask themselves on a regular basis - "Am I being truly honest in every moment?" and if the answer is no - then, without self judgement, simply change and evolve. <3

This is true sir @ura-soul, I also believe that war has never done any good to anyone. When there is a war not only the army suffers but the whole nation does.
This is very disheartening. People get killed and some lose their families and some of the families get destroyed.

God created this world to be beautiful, but it is us who made it this way.

Alfred Noble, in his name the Noble peace prize is given.

But he was the scientist who created grenades. He was one who created a weapon of Mass destruction.
And yet we think of him as a peace maker.
We are bounded by lies and we don't know what is true anymore.

I believe any fight be it a war or a normal street fight, nothing good can come out of it.

God created this world to be beautiful, but it is us who made it this way.

Well, there is some truth in that - but let us not forget that God (or 'the energy that creates worlds' if you don't like the term 'god') made humans too - so the seeds of the destruction were within that early form of consciousness called 'god' too.

You are right about the Nobel 'peace' prize - yes. It is only a continuation of the denial involved there that would have Obama given the peace prize, despite him having amped up drone bombings and the murder of large numbers of innocents!

Yes you are right sir when you say that God created us and all this started with that. I agree with you. I think he gave us the brain, the power that works in mysterious ways. Some use it for good some use it for bad.
Well I agree what Obama did was not right to some extent, because it killed a lot of innocents. And a lot of children got orphan.
Thanks a lot for supporting.

Very pertinent and timely post. I was just reading about Erich Fromm's concept of the necrophilia <--> biophilia continuum. On one article, a commentor shared this Jung quote:

As scientific understanding has grown, so our world has become dehumanised. Man feels himself isolated in the cosmos, because he is no longer involved in nature and has lost his emotional “unconscious identity” with natural phenomena. These have slowly lost their symbolic implications. Thunder is no longer the voice of an angry god, nor is lightning his avenging missile. No river contains a spirit, no tree is the life principle of a man, no snake the embodiment of wisdom, no mountain cave the home of a great demon. No voices now speak to man from stones, plants, and animals, nor does he speak to them believing they can hear. His contact with nature has gone, and with it has gone the profound emotional energy that this symbolic connection supplied. – Carl Jung

Jung's work presented many important concepts to the world which are largely continuing to be misunderstood and not taken seriously. This is itself understandable since he was pointing us to the unconscious self, which is precisely the parts of us that we are out of touch with and in denial of. While some of our ancient ancestor's thoughts were based on superstition (as some of ours are today) they also definitely did hold important understandings about the energetic reality of our planet and cosmos which were long ago tossed out and ridiculed as being nonsense. When humans are dedicated to understanding themselves, each other, the earth and our origins many things will come to be understood which show our ancestors were often far closer to the truth of things than the majority of our science minded people are now.

For this reason, I try to practice Metta every day. May all beings dwell in love, kindness, peace, and joy. It begins with feeling into the Self, and receiving pure Metta, like breathing in love and exhaling compassion. If the warmongers could feel into universal lovingkindness that is the birthright of all the material plane, they would perhaps exhale peace.

I know they are dwelling instead in one of the many hells we humans contrive for ourselves instead. The Hungry Ghost, for example, with its microscopic mouth and bottomless stomach! Hell is insatiable.

We all are bound up together, the generous and creative "biophiles" along with the cynical and denying "necrophiles" in a churning engine fueling the spiral

Absolutely, yes - real compassion is truly needed now more than ever. The pathway to real compassion must include within it total acceptance for the full spectrum of emotional response within us - it is too common for people to think they are being compassionate by holding back anger, when in truth it is a form of denial to do so. I am not saying that anger should be unleashed as a weapon - only that anger itself is often loving in it's pure form as it seeks to protect what is loved. Everything has it's right place, including our anger.

Many of the 'death eaters' have origins which are primarily denial itself - they have been caused through forms of denial and are actually pretty far from being real people!

I have been fortunate enough to experience and recover from certain aspects of mental illness, such as "splitting". During splitting, one dissociates pure good from pure evil and compartmentalizes them. I have acted out in regrettable ways due to splitting fugues, which has taught me what it feels like to become "evil". It is part and parcel of humanity to have the continuum within us all. We must stop denying our split off shadows.

There is a children's book, from Sesame Street: "There Is a Monster at the End of This Book," starring lovable, furry Grover. He spends each page frantic over the monster looming at the end of the book, nailing the pages down, bricking them in...but the child keeps turning each page...and there, at the end of the book, is lovable, furry old Grover. Who technically is a muppet "monster".

Compassion grows in me when I recognize how flawed I am and how the flaws inhibit and frustrate, even damage or destroy. You are so right on, we must befriend scary emotions like anger, even hate, in order to develop true compassion.

Another point about compassion is that it is not ennabling. Allowing wrongdoers to continue injustices is not helpful to intrinsically positive outcomes in their lives, either.

Thank you for this discussion.

You are welcome. Thankyou too.
I have found it helps to recognise that the persona mind that many people think they 'are' (their personality and character) is actually our own creation. We are the creator of the personality and always have been - so it follows that if we conceptualise concepts such as good and evil within the framework / reference point of our personality - then we are definitely also creating. When this is felt and understood, it becomes easier to redefine the situation in a more conscious way that appreciates that we are free to define/align and be as is preferred, without denial - rather than unconsciously following our own programs and judgements which have us apparently acting automatically (internally) and which can lead to splits and fragmentation.

I have experienced this too to some extent - I think most of us have, but we typically don't look at it closely enough to recognise what has occurred - instead we end up looking through multiple lenses at once and trying to carry on as if there is no problem.

I am glad you have learned so much and are able to now appreciate yourself all the more and bring loving light to the parts that need it so much!

Wow!!!

This is deep knowledge, really deep that it takes an open mind and a concentrated spirit to follow such a post of realistic topics. Relating the state of the dead to how it could never be a solution to our problems.

This universe is formed from an infinite and unified self (we can call 'the one') - an electromagnetic field of great splendour and creativity - which thinks and feels. The forms of the universe are WITHIN the self and not outside at all.

It takes a matured mind to understand this , only those that are really eager to know beyond the abstract knowledge would know what this statement is talking about . This is deep and informative. Best post I’ve read in the month of May

Thankyou - in truth it is possible even for small children to understand this to some extent - but the ideas need to be put across in a more simple way. We can feel our origins in a more real way than we are ever going to learn through science or religion!

I love this @ura-soul. You have a keen perception for the exact predicament that human beings are in socially and emotionally. You have a deep understanding, which makes me think you have been contemplating and introspecting for a long time (through many phases) to come to these kinds of conclusions.

I feel like it takes some courage to contemplate the depth of emotional disconnect in the world. And it's possible even to get sucked into it without sufficient context and a compassionate attitude which 'holds things lightly'.

Many of the most sensitive and in tune people I know suffer greatly at some point, presumably to do with contending with this collective thing. What I think, similar to you, is that an emphasis on individual clarity and self inquiry can give us the distance and tools to work on any problem, or to just radiate enough light to shine into these dark corners.

I would even say that creating equanimity for ourselves internally can be more socially powerful than trying to actively create solutions, passing laws, and disrupting operations. If we are still unconscious then we may just reform into new ways of creating such unreasonable suffering. I have heard masters say things along these lines.

Well said, thanks.

Yes, this is a topic I have felt a need to understand for a long time and have focused into for many years.
Courage is absolutely needed - yes - in fact, the word courage comes from the French word for heart. <3

You are right, if we move outwardly without being balanced inwardly, the results will be haphazard at best. The world we see currently is absolutely the result of not understanding this and rushing ahead for a variety of reasons - with fear and a lack of self acceptance being the main ones.

Incredibly powerful post, so many salient points. You're right in that human beings - to a large extent - are barely living. We plod through life on autopilot, in a state of unconsciousness, oblivious to suffering around us and oblivious to the suffering within.

Just by starting to notice how much you are not noticing, you can start to help the situation. By consciously choosing to notice more about life, we open ourselves up to more of ourselves and to more of reality.

Life is full of misery, loneliness, and suffering - and it's all over much too soon. Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.
Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.

Life is full of man experiences - our challenge is learn how to create and draw to us the experiences that we need and desire, instead of those that cause us to suffer.

The process of a final physical death actually begins with every 'little death' we experience in life, such as the result of our own denials & lies. The necessity now is to learn how to reverse the scars of the all of the tragedy and change our lives and world once and for all - to a peaceful and harmonious one!

I agree with your sayings

This is beautiful Ura-soul and something that resonates with me. We often wonder how humans have the capacity to kill and how they are able to rationalize if I don't then he will be the one killed, grow weak, or unable to do a task.

Butchers and those skinning animals is a good example and another one that I want to use are soldiers and police officers who follow dictators.

My family comes from a family of soldiers and police officers and at one point of their career was taking orders from the infamous dictator in our country, I remember their stories of the horrors they saw and how it gave them nightmares but during the time in their heads they did not think they were doing something wrong because to them they were protecting the state from political enemies.

They were in denial of their moral code because they were acting on orders. Now it gives them nightmares.

Life is precious.

"Am I being truly honest in every moment?" and if the answer is no - then, without self judgement, simply change and evolve.

This is a great line because we need to live each moment to being honest to ourselves and do what is right. We are often hard on ourselves when we perceive ourselves as failing our moral code.

Yes, this is an important understanding here - as long as you are denying your own free will (e.g. taking orders) you are damaging yourself and making yourself unconscious (hence nightmares and heartlessness). Once you are denying your own free will, you will likely have no problem with denying other people's free will too. This is why hierarchies and order taking/giving systems always result in hardship and suffering for those who are not at the top.

Spot on! what we are teaching kids today is irrelevant rubbish I think. They need to learn about love, nature and connections. We have a long way to go but it getting shorter. People like you spreading the word will change this world eventually 💯🐒

only humans who have a conscience that cares about goods that are useful, in some cases the ads are made over so that consumers feel right with the information in the can, even the site / tv officially provide opportunities for crime.

life and death are two things we have to live if life is dead then will accompany us .. a good post.
