'Christian' Ritual of Beating Children in Public? This Has Nothing To Do With Christ Or God.
Have you ever seen such a thing outside of a movie or court case depiction of abuse? This video surfaced recently and appears to show a ritual in a church setting where a 'priest' is using physical violence against children, even attempting to kick one of them (albeit lightly) while they are down.
I have attempted to learn what this actually is and the only explanation I have found is that it is a Catholic ritual of 'confirmation' that is interpreted sometimes to involve a physical attack or 'slap'. The wikipedia page for this topic describes it as such:

Whatever it is, I can assure you that this behavior has nothing to do with a loving God and creator of the universe - it is anti-Christ in nature and not of Christ.
Christ, being heart and loving balance of mind, spirit and will - does not involve physical violence.

Well, I haven't heard about this "reaaaaally useful ritual" but I think we can all agree this isn't the biggest sin that often happens between priests and children.
I don't follow any religion because I don't feel the need to. By no means I'm 100% anti-religion, I simply believe the goal is to become better. If a religion makes someone a better person, good for him/her, follow it. We use different things to our self-growth, so... whatever works, I guess. But if a belief system makes him/her worse and harmful to their surroundings or for other people in general, that's another case.
Also, if a religion->culture/tradition promotes horrid behaviour by the 21st century's standards, I don't think anyone has to respect and stay silent about it just because the current pol correct trend says so. There are huge problems in Christianity, there are huge problems in Islam and I'm sure there are problems in other religions too. And oh boy the top politicians, mainstream media, big corps try to force you to not talk about those openly cause it would be considered as hate speech. But I doubt it's a clever idea to sweep under the carpet something so destructive like the heavy inbreeding problem in the middle-east, which can be thanked to cultural/religious tradition. The numbers are horrifying, so as the repercussions. Proven health problems, worse genes, learning difficulties, lower intelligence, mutations and the list could go on. That could be really beneficial for them when it comes to elections and medicine profits. Which makes the current 100% pro-migration politics even fishier.

I agree. To be truthful, the majority of religious groups have elements in them that are against love and are thus 'anti-christic' - however, Catholicism does appear to literally be pure anti-christ at it's roots.
Absolutely true! No religion allows beating children and make them feel like trash!! Infact children's are one of the GOD's blessings which he has bestowed upon us so how can GOD allow his worshippers to beat these children's for so called some idiotic rituals!! Whatever it is has nothing to do with GOD!! Infact GOD tells to spread peace and love among mankind!!!

The catholic church was already declared a criminal body for it's extensive child abuse spanning centuries. Most people ignored it though because... tradition.. and ... gold.
The solution starts in the heart and involves direct internal enlightenment and the resulting empowerment that allows real spiritual balance to manifest.
That what you speak of must come from inside oneself and can never be preached or forced upon a person or people , most followers of false religion's are to confused and bound to the lies to listen to there heart . Religion made the heart weak ... rulers keep us divided .

Sir! These are all fabrications, concoctions and interpolations that humans have themselves introduced in the religion...it has got nothing to do with the God's original message to the human beings... Where did physical violence came into it.. These should be thrown out of it...
Hmm, this is a food for thought @ura-soul. Christ who is our model in the Christian race rather loved children. He would rather rebuke the disciples to let the little children come to Him.
Albeit, some "christian" parents see it as a form of discipline.
Part of being Christ aligned is fully healing our own inner child aspect - so yes, absolutely.

Absuing child or adult is not admired in any Religion. May ALLAH show right patch to such people as such kind of acts shares hate in society.
Actually, most of the religions have elements in them who have claimed that abuse of children is correct - but that does not mean that it has anything to do with God. Just because something is claimed to be part of a religion does not mean it originated with God.
This is barbaric in all ramifications. What "confirmation" warrants physical abuse of a minor? This is wrong! I strongly disapprove this. Why not go try it with the huge and muscular ones? Not cool!
It is apparently a confirmation that you need to get out asap and find spirit yourself internally.
