Do Good Things Come To Those Who Wait? Waiting is Weighting! A Simple Phrase That Hides A Wealth Of Deep Thought.

in #life8 years ago (edited)

Our collective consciousness holds numerous phrases and ideas that are often held up as fact - yet which often don't stand up to any kind of examination and are often just convenient denials of reality. Let's look at the idea that you can just keep waiting if you want 'good' things and they will just come to you...

great things

Examining the idea that 'good things come to those that wait' means touching on some of the deepest philosophical, spiritual and 'quantum' topics there are - yet how many people who use this phrase have much an understanding of any of these areas of life at all? We don't need to know the deeper aspects in life to know whether or not a certain pattern exists, but equally, can we really know if the pattern is as we think it is if we don't know life truly in a very deep way?

Let's break this down...

What is 'Good' is subjective. This means that not everyone thinks the same things are good - so let's be clear that first of all, to some extent, we are talking about things that we each specifically like, want or need and we are not necessarily talking about something that is universally valued.

Why does this phrase claim that the good things will come if we wait? I think most people who use the phrase are saying that we must not just jump at the first opportunity that comes our way if we want to find the best possible 'thing' to meet our needs. So if we are looking to buy a car, we should therefore not buy a car quickly and should instead wait for some amount of time before buying a car, as that gives us more opportunity to examine more options, to find the best car.

However, there are significant issues with this on numerous levels.

Some good things come quickly (male sexuality not being one of them)

On a basic level, this phrase prevents us from defining that the quality of arriving quickly is itself a good thing. Maybe you NEED a car QUICKLY! So how is it therefore good if you wait for something you need right now? Are you going to be worried about the exact tone of the door trim if your actual need for the car is to allow you to escape a heard of charging water buffalo? No!

Context is very important.

We are ATTRACTIVE / Magnetic Beings

This is the deeper aspect here and is still not being received and understood in a deep way by many on this planet. The 'things' and people and experiences that we encounter do not come to us by random chance - our state of being determines what can and cannot come to us in life. We are co-creators of reality, nothing less!

Given that we are (admittedly often damaged, injured and forgetful) co-creators of reality - why then would we not have the capacity to set up our own destiny and draw to us what we want and need? We DO have that ability and we can do it by consciously knowing we are doing it and choosing to focus our thoughts into what feels good and by being EMOTIONAL. Emotions are the power behind motion in life.

Given that we are capable of drawing to us what we want/like/need - why then would we ever want to wait? There is literally no value in waiting if you can draw to you exactly what you need. This magnetic aspect is in essence our main lost super-power.

Waiting is Weighting

When we wait, we typically feel a bit uncomfortable. Waiting is not 'doing nothing' - instead, waiting is specifically being in a state of wanting, but not having. In some cases it might just be a bit annoying and in other cases it might be fatal - especially if you are waiting to have a bleeding artery attended to!

In short, 'waiting' feels heavy and weighs us down and it is no surprise then that 'waiting' and 'weighting' are one and the same metaphysically speaking.

The alternative is to instead simply not wait at all and to go about doing whatever is most exciting in that moment. You can still choose to not jump at whatever option arises - just because it is close to what you really need/like/desire - but at the same time you don't need to wait either. By always doing what is most exciting (within integrity and balance), you are maintaining your own emotional and spiritual balance - which in turn makes it easier for 'good things' to come to you.

So, in summary - if someone tells you that good things come to those who wait, I suggest it's a 'good' idea to consider whether their idea of 'good' is really as 'good' as your idea of 'good' is and as 'good' as 'good' can be!

Wishing you well,

However, the woke cryptohodler knows that cars are not a good investment, but rather a horrible liability :D

heh - well, it all depends on your own context and needs. if you have a trillion imaginary crypto dollars, then it doesn't matter much. ;)

Magic internet money, huh?

By the way, have you heard about The Pineapple Fund? I just wrote about it. Apparently there is a guy who is sitting on 5000 Bitcoins and donating it to charity. Absolutely amazing.

well, all money is imaginary really, no?
no, never heard of that - many charities are just scams though, maybe he can find some worthy ones! i would start a foundation instead.

True.

That's what he did! He made the money available to charitable causes and people can apply to him for funding. This is his website: https://pineapplefund.org

thats a great writing content my friend i appreciate to your concept..best of luck..carry on your activity...i wait for your new content..✌✌✌

most welcome my friend..

Intresting, but is it not so that every desire follows by another, so you will always be a step behind. How a good a person is in waiting is a good measurement how they are doing I think.

It is possible to hold a desire without waiting - that is the point here. We can hold 100 desires at the same time, but our focus can be simply on whatever is most exciting in the moment instead of sitting and waiting. By always taking steps to keep up creativity in a balanced way, we can always be in the most effective state of being to draw 'good' things to us.

You have a point there! =)

so it is good post by a great person

hehe - thanks!

May be you are right.Good writing. I liked your post.

Well said @ura-soul. I think both of these phrases are right, depending what is your situation, just like you described.
My kind of wait is working hard and doing the best I can do in everything knowing that I will not get the good results right away but within time. Just keep on doing the best and it will pay off at the end. Sort of like Steemit. It takes time and hard work to start seeing the results, but we can't do anything and just wait to see the results.

Thanks! I would not say you are waiting if you are working hard - you are more 'persisting'. :)

fantastic writing skills . :)
