I love Russian beer. I typically drink Baltika 7, but I will also drink their non-alcoholic "0" when I'm slowing it down a notch. My Russian friends think I'm crazy because they think all things Russian must be horrible. Clearly they have never endured Coors Light.
I'm sure there are better beers out there, but I can buy Baltika 7 at my local store for 50 rubles a half-liter (about 85 cents USD). That is one heck of a deal for a decent beer. If you're looking at some foreign beers that are interesting, try Saku from Estonia. I like it also. wish you all the best.

Haha yeah to be honest I also didn't know what to expect from russian beer but it was very good! It was interesting to try all the different "levels".
