Oh, my little one, how you have grown.
My time with you has been the sweetest I've known.
Don't grow too fast, stay small for a while.
Keep your silly spirit, keep making me smile.
Oh, my little one, what an adventure you are.
You're my ray of sunshine, my brightly shining star.
When you came along, you made my life so much richer,
There's never a dull moment now with you in the picture.
Oh, my little one, what joy you bring to me.
I am filled with excitement thinking of who you'll grow to be.
You've enhanced my life and awakened my soul,
Being the best I can possibly be for you is my goal.
Oh, my little one, how I love you.
You have given me perspective, a better world view.
The weight of my love for you, only heaven knows.
I will always be here, forever, ready to hold you close.

I enjoyed reading this poem, I miss my childhood, it was the best time of my life.
