Love Does Not Envy
As humans, we are constantly envying others. As we compare what we have with whatever it is that they have that we don't, we lose sight of what we do have. And we are definitely not practicing perfect love. Jealousy is a form of fear and insecurity that I want to be rid of!

I am guilty of envy almost daily. Whether it's envying someone for the size of their body, or for how much money they make, or for how successful they are, I do it. I acknowledge that about myself and I want to be better. I have everything I could possibly need! I am so blessed! Jealousy can never be positive, but love is always positive!
Because love does not envy.

I don't want envy in my life. It's a pointless, sickening distraction that creates ridiculous resentment. Ain't nobody got time fo' dat! All my emotional energy is best spent on love, the answer to everything.
We're trained into envying what other's have in my opinion. We are fed images of material things and shown images of how much better our lives would be if only we had those things. And yet, when we get them there is no happiness, the feeling is hollow because there's other things we still don't have...And that we simply must have because the commercial on TV said so.
My wife and I spent a difficult year working through my business partner destroying my business and we lost almost everything we had worked hard for over our lives. That year taught us many things such as the importance of knowing what's important and then going ahead and doing it. We also learned how solid our relationship was and that if we took ownership of our own lives rather than allowing other's to influence our thoughts and actions then we would be fine. This lead me to the phrase I use at the end of my posts on steemit.
Design and create your ideal life, don't live it by default

I really like that quote! No default living!
Living by default means being brainwashed by the media, government, social media, friends, family etc. into thinking a particular way. Designing and creating means owning your own life, being responsible, removing ego, taking action and attacking life. My wife and I live by that credo.

I came across @uglysweater a few days ago as I was looking for some good quality posts that didn’t revolve around crypto, steemit or gaming. It seems to be the only topics I find these days. That's another good one. I think thankfulness can go a long way to dispelling envy. When we're able to appreciate what we have rather than bemoan what we don't have, then we're more likely not to fall into envy. It's not easy but I've had some success by being mindful of my blessings. And giving myself grace for not yet achieving my goals.

That's actually really funny that you ask; I was just now talking about how I wished my keyboard had emojis! The comment above was from my phone. If I want them while I'm on the computer, I have to copy and paste, lol.
Ahh, yeah, I'm not a big fan of doing stuff on the phone. Too cumbersome for me. I'll have to find a nice list of emojis that I can copy from on the laptop. Thanks! #smileyface <-- Ha ha.
