Let Go 放手

A young boy saw some candies inside a bottle. He managed to put his hand inside the bottle to grab the candies. With the candies inside his hand, he then faced the problem of pulling his hand through the bottle neck. He cried and his dad came and told him to let go the candies. He refused and he continued to be stuck. Then the dad said, “It is your choice, you either let go the candies and free your hand or to continue suffering.”

There are many things we tend to lay hold of until we are bound, and the key to be free is “let go”. All too often the people are fighting for their ideal, wealth, power or what they emphasise.

As a matter of fact, the things we have are only temporary with us such as ideal, position, profession, wealth and even certain human relationship etc. It will come a time somebody will take them away from us or they will diminish. The attempt to hold on as long as possible is often painful even though there is decent motive.

It is better to realise that if it is not given to us, it is not ours. Likewise, it is wise to know the time to let go what we ultimately cannot preserve.
Therefore, “let go” is a choice that will lead to freedom from the thing that binds many people today.

有一个小男孩看到了瓶子里的糖果，他便把手伸进瓶子里去拿糖果。他手里拿着糖果，结果便不能把手抽出来了。他哭了，他爸爸来了叫他要放下糖果。他不愿意，结果他的手继续被困在瓶子里。爸爸只好说，“这是你的选择，你若不放开手，你将继续受苦。”

我们人会倾向于要掌握许多东西以至变得备受约束。而獲得自由的关键乃是“放手”。人们常常为理想，财富，权力和他们看重的东西而奋斗。

事实上，我们所拥有的东西只是暂时的，例如理想，职位，事业，财富，甚至某些人際关系等。有一天，有人会把它们从我们身边带走或渐渐消失，即使追求者对这一切有很体面的动机，坚持一些的奋斗可能是没有必要的痛苦而已。

人最好是能尽早意识到如果不是给于我们的，那就不属于我们。因此，知道放下我们最终无法保留的乃是明智的抉择。的确，“放手”是一种选择，这抉择可以导致许多被事物所困的人獲得自由。
