There's a difference between being sore, being hurt, and being injured
There's a difference between being sore, being hurt, and being injured. You can still play while sore or hurt, but you shouldn't play when you're truly injured since it can cause further damage to your body.
Innocent soreness usually feels achy, stiff, or tight, whereas an injury usually causes a sharp pain.
An injury typically won't ease up after a few days.
