Your perfect day
If you could design a day just the way you wanted, without any boundaries, what would that day look like?
For me, since I would have more time that way, it would probably mean getting up waay early (in my imagination it's a summer day), maybe even before sunrise. I would put on my running shoes (I know that costs a lot of effort in the morning, but it's so worth it- especially because I can't do sports at the moment and miss it so much!) and run into the sunrise. The location would be somewhere flat, so that the running wouldn't be too hard ;). Maybe a field or even a beach.
After returning with the sun in my back I would make breakfast, something with lots of fruit. I would take a shower and then sit in my garden journalling or reading a bit. Then I could do some yoga, to really relax and connect with myself. I would either take my lunch somewhere or eat at home, then it's time for something productive like studying or working on some things in the house. Maybe start a DIY project, redecorate..
For all of these things I would have a person and maybe a pet (probably a dog :D) to share the fun with me. Except maybe the running if they don't feel like getting up that early (the dog might). They could do their own thing but still be there with me.
Then I would go out to dinner, or invite/be invited to dinner and have a fun evening with my friends. Maybe we'd do some crazy stuff like dancing around the streets after that or singing so loud that we'd annoy everyone else. You know, we'd just have a good time!
As it's a summer day, the sun hasn't set as we get home. Either my friends and I, or only my parter and I, will go out in the nature that is near my house and take a nice walk- watching the sunset and talking about all sorts of things that pop up in our head. We'd go to bed all calm and happy.
In a way, I think a lot of variations of this day could be described as the perfect day. The only thing important it that you make it perfect by choosing to do the litte things that fill you with inner peace snd joy.
What is your perfect day like? Writing it down actually helps you vizualize what you want in life, so why not give it a try?
What I learned from it is that there aren't a lot of entertainment things like Instagram or Netflix in my perfect day. I think if I fill an entire day with things I enjoy, there won't even be time for distractions. Now that I think about it, these things are important for my day:
- some form of exercise (could also be bouldering or swimming, ..)
- something to connect with myself (yoga, journalling, ..)
- a way of connecting with others (activities or simply talking together)
- nutritional food
- some form of beauty to appreciate (nature, the sun, a redecorated house, ..)
- seeing how much time and life is worth and enjoying every bit of it!
