"It's Not Goodbye, it's a long and probably overdue Hello"
The day had come. Worrying about how much her bags weighed, Becca kept on checking the scales at home as she put in more items into her bag. She came over with one bag, but is taking back two with the amount of things accumulated over the past two years in South East Asia.
The flood gates opened early as we said goodbye to Sam's grandfather and aunt in the morning as Sam's grandfather was leaving back to Sam's aunt's house after spending some months at Sam's mother's house (Sam's mum, aunt and uncle; each take care of their father over the course of the year - roughly 4 months each). Becca found it hard not to cry as her time here was made so welcoming and she didn't know when she would see her "second family" again. 😢
Finally, we were at the airport. The bags went through despite being a kilo over the allowance 😲
As we walked towards the dreaded escalators leading up to immigration, Becca decided to walk extra slow to ensure the inevitable didn't come sooner. We will only be apart for a maximum of 3 months and we have talked many times about the decision to move back to Europe, but doubt will always creep in. Are we making the right decision? No one knows the answer to that. Whether one makes the right decision or not... we just have to find out what the next chapter has in store for us. It doesn't matter where we end up, our adventure was always about us, being together!

Cheers @macchiata! It will test our relationship in all ways (good and bad), but ultimately this is probably what we need as we concentrate on our careers more. Distance will only make the heart fonder. 😊

Thanks! Yea we haven't been fully blogging, doing our routine and going on Discord since we came back from our European holiday back in September. It's a mixture of getting the motivation to do it and concentrating on other priorities (such as final exams). Yet, we hope to write about our time in Vietnam soon and thus be more active again on Discord. Just got an important exam this Sunday that I need to concentrate on first.

Thanks Mo! Yes it's not that long at all. But, it's also the fact we won't be living together as we have been doing. We will establish our own lives in Portugal and England. So, when we do see each other it will be for a long weekend or a week at most. Still it's the time in our lives to think of our careers first.
Sh*t now this sounds kinda sad to me. I have been in this long distance thingy for year. Not that bad but not that great #lamelife Oh! Now that I see your reply, I will have to contact you!!!! LOLOL
