I call for President Donald Trump to issue an executive order with the scope of a "Manhattan Project" to put an end to the diseases of aging, once and for all!!!
I recently read An order from the Chinese emperor: find immortality about the ancient Chinese Emperor Quin Shi Huang who sent a decree throughout the land to find the "elixir of life".
He was the same powerful emperor who buried a huge terra cota army to defend him in the afterlife.
He wanted immortality, or at least to live a longer life. Back then, 40 years was probably a long life for a peasant. Even Quin Shi Huang (18 February 259 BC – 10 September 210 BC) only lived 49 years.
Having been an advocate for human rejuvenation engineering for going on 20 years now, I have meditated frequently about this problem that vexed the ancient Emperor.
There being one BIG difference!
I live in an age when curing aging is a calculated possibility that can be made a reality for only a few billion dollars. I say "only" because a major government can spend that on trival things and not even miss it. In fact, it is the obligation of government to pay for things that are needed, but difficult or impossible to create as a profitable business: roads, schools, defence, research, post office etc.
I call for President Donald Trump to issue an executive order -- a large scope "Manhattan Project" to put an end to the diseases of aging, once and for all!!!
The famous scientist Dr. Aubrey de Grey has an engineering solution to the diseases of aging and we must make it happen. One can find the details of his plan in his book, Ending Aging.
There are others working on the problem. Even Google is spending a fortune trying to figure out how to make a profit off curing aging.
That is not satisfactory. We must attack aging directly as Dr. de Grey details in his plan called SENS (Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence).
The following is said facetiously because Donald Trump is a controversial figure and I have to appease violently opposing sides to be heard:
If President Donald Trump created this "Manhattan Project" that ended aging in our time, the people would erect statues all over the world honoring him as the man who saved humanity from a horrific scourge - the diseases of aging. It would be a "huge" boost for Mr. Trump's famous ego as well as be a well deserved tribute for bestowing perhaps the greatest boon to mankind ever!
Whatever your politics, please support the cause of ending the diseases of aging by upvoting and resteeming this post and even by contacting your politicians to tell them that the diseases of aging are unnecessary and must be eliminated from our lives.
