We act because we are in love. In love with a world in pain. In love with a world so bright, so dark, so hideous, so gorgeous, so alive.
We act because love thrums through our veins, beating out the cadence life, life, life.
And we return to life, even in the midst of death and terror.
We are furious. And sometimes afraid. And some days we want to give up...
But our hearts still beat, and air still whispers through our lungs.
Love is all we have some days. even if we think love has forgotten our names.

We act, because we are in love. We are in love with brown bodies and bright minds, with the possibility that lights up children'$ faces, and the whole, glorious array of human beings, everywhere.
We are in love with ocean and mountains. We are in love with sun and rain, concrete and sky.
We act, because we love.
And the moment love is extinguished?
The future we envision dies.

So bring your rage, your disappointment, your depression, your pain, your joy, your creative spark, your fear, your lack of knowing. Bring it all.
Let us build mutuality and aid. Let us build beauty and care. Let us build food and shelter. Let us build equity, and justice and more love.
