Catsy (Catsanova) Was Adopted Today
A short time ago I posted a photo and story about Catsy, the kitten that we took in from our youngest daughter's elementary school at the end of school year. If you missed it, you can find it here: Now that's one comfy kitty.
After a number of showings, in which Catsy tried his best to NOT get adopted by growling and clawing whenever a stranger was around, a family with two young girls, who saw him last Saturday adopted him this afternoon. They also have a 1 year old cat and a small dog (who is likely to be terrorized by Catsy).
We were all pleased that he found a good home, but also sad to see him go. Our youngest daughter cried so much at the adoption that it raised the concerns of many in the store. The pet adoption agency that we worked with always follows up with all adoptions, so we hope to hear soon how he is doing.
Here are few more pics taken while waiting for all the paperwork to be completed. Catsy's favorite activity at the PetSmart where the volunteer adoption program works is "stalking" all the fish and other critters on display.

😊 My thanks to those that save lives thru rescue. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for those that give of themselves in this way.
I remember your other post about Catsy, I'm glad to hear he's going to a good home! Such an adorable baby, I hope he's happy in his new home :D
We are super excited. Catzy was the most unusual rescue. At the outset he was far more laid back and affectionate than any previous rescue but when we tried to crate him for adoption days suddenly he became Mr. Hyde. This sweet, loving 6 month old kitty just couldn’t stand to be caged. I’ve never seen anything like it. Finally the lead volunteer with HPPL suggested we try a harness and a leash. Low and behold... Kitty dog! At one point we needed to crate Catzy for the end of an adoption day and he was just not having it. He made such a ruckus that it drew a crowd. The crowd quickly dispersed as soon as we reconsidered and releashed him. The only family remaining was a little girl of about 7 and her mom. This is Catzy’s new family. We are so incredibly grateful for them. 😁
We do too. The head of the adoption agency usually checks up on new owners after a few days, so we should hear soon.
Wow, always dreamed of walking a cat on a leash, but he resisted and hid under the sofa)) And Catsy was pleased)) Let everything at Catsy be good, after all the most difficult is already behind.
Catsy didn't mind the harness or lead at all. Of course, you couldn't walk him like a dog... you had to just let him go where he wanted to go.
